Hey guys, Sin here!
Today I’m sharing another very quirky deck concept. Before we do, let’s show a starting hand to kick off the memes shall we?
Yeah.
What’s Spriggin and Komodo Hunter doing in your deck you may ask? It’s an enemy-assisting deck- WAIT DON’T CLICK OFF- Before you do, let me explain how this works.
Sure looks real bad in that situation huh, wait did you see that card second from the left?
Yes, you keep them occupied with their own shenanigans and they’re ultimately killed by their own hands. Until then, we play with their minds utilizing Infest and pings, making them extremely aware about their minion positioning.
By the by, did you know what Spriggin spawns?
There are 4 different types of kin;
Zetta, a 2/3 with frenzy
Binky, a 2/1 flying, with text that says: Whenever this damages a minion restore 2 health to your general
Glub, a 1/1 with text that says: Whenever a Spriggin is destroyed, this minion gains +3/3
and Moro, 0/3 with text that says: as long as there is a spriggin, this minion has +3 attack.
The spawns work like Nature Confluence, where both generals select a random kin and summon 3 copies of it.
Horrific Visage is another key card in this deck. Negating any sort of kill pressure for a turn, it is the best possible stall card Abyssian has currently. While it isn’t the best at removal, it compensates with guaranteed protection and a tinge of surprise factor.
Shadowstalk is kind of a meme card but it’s great for value! Especially if you’re summoning tokens for the enemy. It stalls the enemy general long enough who is under the impression that you’re using it for a clunky combo, and will use minions to clear them while you steer clear from those minions.
Finally, we get to see the pieces coming together.
And the final touches.
Look at that sick echoing shriek value!
Take the second game. This time, it takes a second perspective into the other cards in the decklist. Consisting of a whopping 29 spells, this deck is by no means board-centric. One might argue that the tempo loss from the lack of 2 drops may cost you the game (it did), but the fun is in cards which people overlook. We take advantage of the higher drops in this game with keeper of the vale, especially bonereaper which helps with removal and infest triggers.
If the game stalls against artifact players, you’d ping them down slowly with the spikes, void pulses and Infest triggers.
Keeper sometimes takes over the game one-handedly and controls everything. I spawned about 5 bonereapers that game.
We also take copies of loreweaver to increase the amount of cheap spells in our hand for stall and pings.
Alternatively, this bad boy here to clean the minions up.
As with my other decks, I have some general advice for you:
Don’t contest the tiles if you’re new to a turtle playstyle. Stick to the plan and keep general notes of what minions your opponent are playing so you can ping them off cleanly after casting Infest.
This was an instant concede after i played echoing shriek into infest.
Your mana usage is extremely important against tempo-heavy decks and you’ll have keep a hand full of removals.
If you’re loaded with spirit or have most of these cards, give the deck a roll and tell me how it fares
Finally a deck where you can shout out your final turn as “OMAE WA MOU SHINDEIRU!”
