“Your opponent’s fun disappears at the start of your next turn.”

This is an interesting idea for a card. If you catch someone off guard this can be really good, but against swarm this seems underwhelming. It’s worth messing around with, but I don’t think this will be amazing.

edit: nvm it’s not random

its random so its justifiably cheaper than entropic, but at least they are utilizing the ephemeral keyword

Too slow. If it was at the end of your turn it would see play, but at the start of your next turn remove a minion makes this even worse removal than Spiral counter.

Edit: removed the random part. Still to slow to see play on the ladder.

Targetable

oh… thats considerably better. especially against ranged minions or value generators

Ah, that changes things

Disappear, as in, not triggering Deathwatch/Dying WIsh?
Neat!!

This is interesting, as far as removal is concerned. It gives your opponent a turn to use the minion before it goes away. At the same time, it prevents dying wish or other death related triggers.

The main problem here is that since your opponent has a turn to use the minion before it goes away, they have an opportunity to throw it into something or trade where they normally wouldn’t. If the minion is defensive and they want to keep it alive, they now have no reason to protect it anymore.

Something else that’s interesting to keep in mind: I bet you this effect can be dispelled. If they are running Lightbender, there’s little reason not to put this minion in a position where it can be dispelled as well as other valuable targets.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s anything great. It will find use, but I don’t think it will be a 3 of anywhere.

This card is a disappointment.
It upsets me that Vet already doesn’t really have a proper Core Set cheap single target removal, and now this seems like a joke to me.
I mean, be blessed the holy BoA, and I’m forever thankful that CPG moved it to Core, but when Falcius will depart I really want to know what kind of tools will Vet have to remove medium-small threats.
I believe that Entropic Decay should at least cost 3 mana and Siphon Energy should go back to the former glory when it targetted whatever enemy minion.

well… that depends on whether it uses the same mechanic as wind dervishes.

the wind dervish effect is not dispellable

Delayed removal was almost never good…

Seems pretty good. Great for backline value generators, doesn’t trigger dying wish, can be played on things like EMP if you can bodyblock for a turn. Who knows.

Feels bad for things like Mechazor or against Kaleos/whip

Could have been written in a clearer way.

Please clarify your card text. It currently reads like you could cast it on an empty board.

It is really sad that this effect triggers at the start of your next turn. Ephemeral minions vanish normally at the end of turn.
This means that it at least procs all at the end of turnabilities including the Lyonar Mythron transform…

This will be an interesting removal alternative for Gauntlet, but never enough for constructed decks.

I think the words in this card text is quite clear.

An enemy minion = need enemy minion on the battlefield, hover and select it.
Disappears = Just like wind dervish
At the start of your next turn = Self-explanatory.

Everyone and his mother is playing Vetruvian in the next expansion…
