Back at it again with the polls! I’ll be compiling the spoilers into an overview to make the pre-release community consensus visible. It’ll be fun looking back in a few weeks and seeing how right and wrong we were.

Well, this is looking like it might be the last set of polls before the expansion drops! If you want your voice to be counted properly I suggest you go back over all the other polls and enter your answer. Don’t be shy to answer “Don’t know/No answer” either, that’s completely legitimate!

When the time comes I’ll be closing all the polls to avoid contamination so don’t wait too long! But for now:

@thematsjo, why Alcuin Fugitive is trash in your opinion? Seems quite powerful in Arcanyst and/or Spell intensify decks…I’m going to immediately craft 2-of him.

Most of the time you won’t get a valuable spell back with this one. The statline is also embarassing.

Because I think it’s outclassed by Alcuin Loremaster. Loremaster is the more flexible card and better positioned in terms of its mana cost. If Arcanyst decks want to run both, great, but 5 mana for this slow of an effect on a small body makes me suspect it won’t work out.

fugitive is worth playing because it generates value over time and just like loremaster you have complete control of what you get into your hand. cassyva and argeon (and probably ilena) are going to love this one because every spell they have theyll want more of

Kidding aside: I was probably too hard rating the cards “trash” because it’s not thát bad. I did it because I think Loremaster does its job better so any slot you might consider it for would already be better filled by the Loremaster. If I had made a “Redundant and outclassed by its predecessor” answer option I’d’ve put it there. I’d like to be wrong on this one.
