Is this guy completely useless or it just seems so?
Compared to ghost Seraphim, this has 6 less stat points, has a similar effect, and costs the same mana. Compared to Abjudicator, this needs to survive a turn to use with the mantra/gates combo.
However, if you have this on the same board as a Storm Kage and say a Bloodrage mask, then you have a full clear with tons of Burst.

This card seems blatantly weaker than Ghost Seraphim. That is, until you take into account 2 factors: 1.) This reduces the cost of ALL spells, not just the first one casted, and 2.) This is a Songhai card, in a faction where they have 2 mana Phoenix fires, a plethora of cheap costed spells, and extremely valuable yet costly finishers (Firestorm Mantra and Spiral Technique).
On one hand, this card will make Storm Kage a very strong control card if it is able to be set up properly. On the other hand, this card alone can make for some very nasty (burst) combos. I can imagine seeing a combo where you spend the game gather phoenix fires to annihilate the opponent on turn 7.
Another important thing to note is that it applies the buff to all friendly spells. Including Bloodbound spells. Not only would it make things interesting in conjunction with Shintai’s BBS (2 spell procs, 1 effect, 0 mana), but this card would be especially powerful with Geomancer, making you have a 0 mana Phoenix Fire as your Bloodbound Spell. Combined with Cryptographer, I think this card could become a great enabler to the Songhai faction as a whole.
Side note: If Lyonar has Second Sun and Songhai has Second Sword, does that mean each faction could be getting a Second _____ minion, or is it just another parallel between Lyonar and Songhai?

I think this card is Meme tier Like storm kage. Its a combo e enabler that comes down way too late, at 7 mana i would directly play the combo instead
I have no idea if this will be good or not, but I suspect it will see play. If your hand is full of 8g8s and PF’s (and perhaps your BBS is PF) then you just play this and immediately kill your opponent on 7 mana. A rather classic Songhai roulette situation, I suppose.

At first sight it looked bad to me. 7 mana is way too late. But then I read some of the possibilities and now I think it will see play.
And because of that I’m scared people will find a stupid combo with it and will make it top tier

This guy can enable horrible burst, leading to insta loss if not removed immediately. Is it OP? I don’t know, but many players will complain for sure.
To me, it’s potentially a very strong card. Interestingly enough, it can make Magesworn even better

I… Dunno what to think about this card. I feel like it’s on the bleeding edge of broken, but it could also be largely ignored if it’s not as efficient in practice.
I just worry that it will enable more stupid combos. Time will tell how useful he really is.
I kinda like it, it piques my interest.
This has a lot of potential, but I feel like we will have to discover a specific combo in order for it to be actually good instead of just interesting.
Also does this count BBS? If it does I can see geomancer/cryto/that other BBS generating dude being something. Maybe not optimal but it’d be neat.
Wait. This on turn 7, and Storm Kage and Bloodrage Mask on turn 8 against Abyssian using Gor.

First Songhai reveal, minion with spell support but worst than chakri.
Second Songhai reveal, another spell support and worst than seraphim (in stats), even abjudicator is better (in effect and cost).
I was more happy when Unearthed Prophecy revealed, new unique minions. Flamewreath, Painter, they are way better and are not really focused on spell support.
