Immortal Vanguard - Lyonar Surgeforger

IMG_0860

:musical_note:Holy diver, you’ve been down too long in the midnight sea. Oh what’s becoming of me :musical_note:

Looks Like Brom’s getting some sweet support. It’s much more frail that Portal guardian, but it gains health, so it demands a removal. On the other hand, Lyonar has releatively few dispel targets and Phoenix fire or Chromatic cold on this is really juicy.

Like I said Lynor now getting token/swarm support this card is very scarey.

I like, cool newish idea (ok Mirkblood, sure, but more of that is nice).

Nice swarm support. It shares slot with auruara and a bit too expensive, however. May work with zyx.

TitanBrom is going to make me so mad.
the value this guy would add to a deck full of just nerds with that BBS…god damn it.

I do think it’s an awesome card though, in design and in function. I don’t play Lyonar at all so, yeah. I think this will be a hated card for me. 10/10

Love the sprite, love the effect. Been way too excited about Maev and Ragnora recently, but when the expac drops you can bet im gonna be sipping the Brotein Shake

Generating 8/10 worth of stats for two cards using Zyx could be very good, especially as a (lucky) devastating P2T1 opener if you get a beneficial Zyx spawn! As P1T2 you can force a good spawn but it seems a bit finnicky. Might just work out! Wonderful design regardless from both a game play and aesthetic perspective.

This seems more like an epic than a legandary to me. I wouldn’t feel bad spending 350 spirit per card on this. 900 per though? I’d feel bad.

This card would be very intimidating if it was 2 mana, so like seeing the 3 mana cost. Reminds me of Songhai Chakri Avatar in the sense that this could be potential dispel bait to prep up later swarm cards in Lyonar decks.

songhai called
they want chakri avatar back

What an amazing card. Obviously I’m saying this on first impressions just from glancing at it but it seems balanced, seems to support a weaker archetype, and I dig it. He looks like he should be deep sea diving.

New possibilities for P1T2 this on tile+Zyx+BBS, solid opening play. Really gives swarm a threat

Strong swarm card, pretty weak to dispell tho.

Given that it’s only 3 mana, and gives buffs to everything that buff it, I’d say it’s actually fairly strong against dispel. So long as its had an impact already.
It actually reminds me of mostly better Shadow Watcher in a way, except that it only triggers from nearby summons, yet also provides its buff to the other minion (hence why I say mostly better).

RIP aurora…wasn,t thinking much about that now poor lion at first

Surgeforger looks amazing, both in pixel-art and in effect.

With Brome this is a 4 mana play for a 3/3 and a 2/3. Fairly worth it on turn 2, i’d say. With the threat that if you don’t remove the Surgeforger, the next minion at 4-5 mana will be even bigger.

Yeah I think Brome is going to be fine if they give him more cards like this.
