RIP, the best card game I’ve played.

Please no. I would gladly pay the server fees my self. Is bandai still going to hold the IP? Open source possibilities? Please tell me this can be fixed still.

And because of this Bandai has now gain my eternal hatred, this game was doing great without them.

I’m going to post this here - because the question is undoubtedly going to be asked

Yeah you right, and as much as I wanted to trust Counterplay I was disappointed time and time again, especially having played since beta. I never complained cause it was always free and I really appreciate everyone’s work, artwork and effort. The trust however will be severely damaged :frowning:

I say good riddance.

Nothing can take away from the experiences and friends Duelyst as a platform has provided me with, but its heartening that finally players might be able to move on from what has been an obvious money making play on emotions and nothing short of a scam these last few months.

All the best to your team moving forward and good luck on Godfall, i only hope youll learn and build from this and treat your future players better, they deserve that at least.

Tyvm for the info, nothing more frightening than being left in the dark ^^

I am just so devastated… if there was anything even remotely similar I could fill the hole with I could avoid a depression spiral.

But other then Faeira, which is a pale comparison, there is just no other active, PC, online, pvp, turn based, tactical, board game in existence. You have your choice of boring card games of which I grew out of ages ago, RTS, or going back to table top.

I would pay an exorbitant amount of money for a new server or replacement.

Agree, would love to have to opportunity to keep playing, as I don’t have much time too play, but absolutely adore Duelyst even without any updates, content or patches. Jesus, alone the name Duelyst gives me goosebumps. Remember the days the artworks were first announced and I fell in love instantly, craved the lore and the game in every state. Thankful for being part of the journey. Nonetheless how it unfolded feels like a tragedy.

Make a pot. So money can be thrown in said pot.

Want to thank the devs and the whole team for all the years and the memories. I find it tragic how the game changed during beta and the hype died after that. Wasn’t pleased with every decision but duelyst always had my heart. Thanks for not giving up on the game, can only imagine how hard decisions must be when u have to live off something. Just please don’t give up on the duelyst IP and what could’ve been. Just remember how many people you had on board before the draw system changed and how long people stuck. You’re sitting on a dumpster full of gold there, just don’t light it up again  thanks for all the commitment, the fun and the time we got to enjoy <3

The first time I saw the game I thought to myself, “This is an amazing game! The art is aesthetic, the gameplay is excellent. This would be a really exceptional game.” Now, duelyst servers will be closed. This truly is a sad day. I’m so sad rn even though I dont play anymore, I come back to this forums often because of the really dedicated community. Everyone deserves to be happy. And it is so sad that we did not receive what we wanted afterall(balance updates, new content) after all these time. Duelyst truly is a unique game. Thank you, duelyst for all the good times.

I doubt any money at all has been made in the past few years, not just months. And you are being selfish. You had your experiences. I haven’t. Many of us haven’t.

I haven’t built half of the decks that I thought about building. I haven’t made a single meme deck. I have never showcased a terrible funny deck, to a friend so he could showcase his and we could laugh at how terrible the match was from a comp standpoint, and how amazing it was from a fun standpoint. I have never even hit S rank!

And now I most likely never will do any of that. I’m sure even players with all the decks in the world and fully complete skinned/prismatic collections wouldn’t want the game to die and it hurts to see that anyone ever would.

Don’t get this wrong, I am not angry with you. I just couldn’t disagree more with what you wrote.

I don’t want the game to close its servers. But I really don’t want the community to suffer more. So even though it’s heartbreaking, i can say that I agree with you :frowning:

Man I didn’t suffer, I think most of the core community didn’t suffer as well.
Hell I just got a deck based on poison panda to s rank and I have so many more ideas, but it is what it is.

I’ll be glad to hear other verdict, it pains me to say that there’s no game like this one. I mean I dont play other games at all and with duelyst gone I feel like my gaming days are over.

And again we’ve got a month for all the rookies that still want to accomplish something or everyone else trying to ride the game.
There will be a time to start crying, but it is not now.
We’ve got a month and maybe something will change, who knows.

I remember the days when news meant update and you rush in find that Magmar got buffed.
Either this or you find a dude playing prank on everyone when cpg hand out the new content reveal.
