Rules

• Design a card that relates to the word of the month that you choose in any way
• You may only submit one card
• Submit your card in one of the two acceptable formats
• If using the visual format and you choose art from a different faction than what you want your card to be, make sure to specify your card’s faction
• Don’t make an obviously overpowered or underpowered card
• Don’t copy cards other people have posted or cards from other card games
• Don’t make up your own keywords (there is no need for a single card), but inventing special tiles and tokens is fine

Mythical

Anubix is, well, Anubis. I have always hated the fact that Anubis gets to be the mascot for Duelyst’s Osiris so I made an actual Anubis for this sprite. Undispellable Dying Wishes may seen powerful, but this is in Vetruvian. Mostly OP with Kha, I’m aware of that, but in turn it also provides a lot of extra defense to the enemy, notably Trial Maehv/Cassyva. Since this minion is 6 mana and does not provide any offensive benefits in its first turn, I feel that the seemingly dominating abilities will be offset by its tendency to give the opponent the initiative. The protection itself is referencing his role as a tomb guardian, and the disable is just a show of his status in the Egyptian underworld.

Explanation

In Norse mythology, Thor is basically only a god because of his magical items. He has a goat-drawn chariot that can fly (the wheels of this chariot create the sound of thunder – but Thor cannot actually control lightning), the famous shortened hammer Mjölnir which returns to him after being thrown (and also allows Thor to resurrect his goats for an infinite food supply), the power-belt Megingjörð, and the iron gauntlets Járngreipr. Thor cannot wield Mjölnir without the strength imparted to him by his belt and gauntlets. He also isn’t even immortal without eating Idun’s golden apples (same as all of the gods).
