Wing Chun Faie - The centerline theory

Inspired by @melkorita’s “Living on the Edge” deck posted a while back, I wanted to give something like it a try.

How does this work: We get to the center of the field. We use Provoke to tie everything here.
Then Glacial Fissures and Warbirds, with maximum collateral damage thanks to Mesmerize and Hearth Sister.

Deviating from that, the opponent can also enjoy either Avalanches (on your left) or Wailing Overdrives (on your right).

Aspect of the Mountain brings the final nail to the coffin if needed.

Shivers is a delivery platform for either Wailing Overdrives (turn 2) or Aspect of the Mountain.

This is an early draft, it works nicely as intended I think…
But I would like to have your expert opinions on how to optimize it.

Wing Chun is a southern kungfu style entirely focused on sticking close to your opponent, tying his arms, never backing down and delivering a flurry of direct strikes to the centerline of the body.

Thanks!

Really interesting concept! I love the damage you can drop on people. A few changes I recommend \\\\–

Summary

Drop Aer Pridebeak for Malicious Wisp or Chromatic Cold.

Then drop all of your Primus and add in another Blistering. With the extra space perhaps a Draugar Eyolith

If you want more provoke, drop the Aspect for Bonereaper.

Lastly for even earlier play, switch Wailing with Cryonic Potential.

Extra points for the pun. Hope these help breed some ideas for ya!

repulser beast might be good with this i think also some infiltrate defiantly more provoke maybe rock pulverizer, oh also some freeblade would kill in this deck. other than that i think your deck can kill bro.

Whoa thanks, you’re spot on. Bonereaper is a must-have in this list I agree.

I had Pridebeak on my watch list too, but I was more thinking about another positioning tool instead (Repulsor Beast or ~ahemmsyvreltheexileahemmhm~ excuse me I have a sore throat)

Wailing vs Cryonic: The main use is supposed to be late-game (finisher), therefore Wailing was preferred. Now you raise an interesting point, if I feel like the list should be more early-game focused, then I will include that package (Cryonic, Gravity Well, some 1-drop).

Mainly a recommendation because of personal preference. I like early game plays like that which basically force the opponent to remove thus leaving cards you wanna keep(like your Provoke minions).

If you’re worried about mid-lame game damage then why don’t you take the dredger out for a spin? It’ll either enable a sneaky avalanche play or trick the opponent into backing off into wailing range

I have tweaked a bit thanks to the ideas shared in this thread, this is solid.

Wild Tahr is the best 3-drop this deck can use, the amount of provoke units around make it an absolute monster.

I just had this idea now cryonic potential would kill if you are able to lock them down like the deck tries to do, just to make it really hard to answer the things you have on board, because in this deck you are gonna want your things a little bigger so it just makes it harder to answer and have your minions better lock the opponent down.

Protosensor is awesome with Overdrive. I would probably even get rid of crypto (blasphemy!) to run it.

Nice deck, I approve of this message.

Done.

As a bonus for the forum only, after the hardcore burn stuff here’s a zen deck to chill around.

Kraigon.
Kraigon happens. (I’m sure you knew that)

Edit: this deck is surprisingly effective.

Ok, so minions can’t transform into themselves (which makes sense, but I don’t remember seeing this fully tested)? So Egoing a Kraigon would give a Toilet Golem.

Thats not quite true, Egoing Rae will always give you Rae (unless that was changed since I tested it). And I think I remember hearing of someone Egoing a Decimus only to get a Decimus.

That was the subject of a CPG patch actually.
After that patch now you can no longer get the same minion out of an Aspect of Ego.

Thanks for clearing that up. The last patch was so long ago I have already began forgetting some of the changes it did :upside_down_face:
