Welcome to Duelyst’s Official Forums. Before you start posting, we’d like to inform you about how exactly our forum is set up, what appears in your usual feed, and the usual guidelines for posting. If you have any further questions, feel free to message a Moderator, and we will ensure you receive a response.
By default, our forum displays posts in a Latest format. This means that all posts, regardless of their category, tag, or who posts them, shall be displayed to you in order of the most recent poster. If you would prefer to change this, select the settings bar on the top right of the forum, and select the word “Categories.”
The Technical Support category will not naturally appear in your feed, and if you would like to mute other categories from appearing, it is an easy process. Go into your profile settings and access the cogwheel. From there, scroll down through your preferences until you reach the category section. From there you can simply add categories to the Muted section to avoid them appearing in your feed.
There are seven categories in our forums, one of which you must select to post in when making your own thread. Announcements is for Counterplay content only, used in regards to important information that we want the playerbase to see. General is where most threads should be made, where discussion of a wide variety of topics can take place. Decklists is for people to submit a Deck, along with a written explanation of how to pilot it and any other necessary information. You may also posts whatever guides you want to share with the community, but note that they must be revolving around a specific decklist(s). Introductions is where forum posters who are new to the community and game can post questions, and also where users of all kinds should post their introductions to the community, so we can get to know one another much easier. Suggestions for all manner of ideas and thoughts to improve the game or an awesome card you would like to see etc. Media & Events for all tournaments, events and social media(Streams, youtube, etc) should be posted there. Technical Support is what you should post in when submitting a Bug Report, or when seeking technical assistance.
Overall, when browsing the forums, try to keep in mind some general guidelines. Your conversation and threads should seek to spark conversation around Duelyst, not simply be a stage from which to display solely your own thoughts. Try to evolve the discussions you see taking place, instead of choosing to repeat them time and time again. And most importantly, treat your fellow posters with dignity and respect, regardless of whether or not they share your opinion, attacking or belittling other users is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
If you would like to read our Moderation Policy in its entirety, click here.
Lastly if you feel someone is breaking these rules please FLAG the post/thread in question, it is the best way to keep the forum tidy and civil.
Once again, we welcome you to the Official Duelyst Forums, and we hope you stay with us for some time to come.
