Web Browser Lag

Hey everyone, I love this game and everything about it

but I recently switched to a linux based laptop and I have been using the web browser beta to play the game. I think its a very innovative concept to have such a comprehensive game utilized in browser form.

I am however experiencing a tremedous amount of lag while using it, making it impossible to play full turns, especially if I play as abyssian with so many characters on screen at once.

The lag isn’t performance based but rather network based. After commanding a unit to move it takes around 15-20 seconds before that command is completed, which normally isnt a problem but I am unable to “queue” my moves one after another, I have to wait until the first action is completed until I am able to do anything else.

Due to the time limitations per move it means at most I am able to issue 4-5 commands before I time out.

I am wondering if others are having this problem as well or if its server load specific (as in peak hours) or if it’s a general problem for the web browser itself.

Note, I am not complaining, since the ability to play this game in browser at all is a god-send, but I am curious if this is a general problem that is being worked on.

Thank you for your dedication to listening to fans and continued improvement of the game over the years!

Are you using beta.duelyst.com or play.duelyst.com? The latter is much better and is what I switched to.

I’ve been using beta.duelyst.com whoops, i’ll try the other one and get back to you.

Ah… it is a world of difference, thank you. There is still a delay but it is not nearly as pronounced or debilitating to the point of conceding mid-match due to half-completed turns.

Thank you!

It’s my pleasure. The delay is most likely down to wifi and such now.
