Upcoming Duelyst movie

@anjosustrakr is currently writing a script for a Duelyst movie, apparently a couple of studios are already interested. just play along
He gave me the elevator pitch, the opening sequence and first scene are going to be amazing. :sunglasses:

Anyway no spoilers, but we need to give him a hand on the potential cast. Let’s just brainstorm and throw a few ideas. Of course it’ll all depends on the studios and contracts negotiations but Anjo’s got kind of a network in Hollywood so anything can happen.

So, Duelyst movie casting.
Let me start.

Oh this is awkward. I just got a call from Natalie Dormer yeah sure and she’s mad. She’s driving to @anjosustrakr’s appartment as we speak. I think we’re having a situation for the Cassyva part.

What you say is true, but it has no bearing on the Duelyst movie. Natalie Dorner is not famous, and Cassiva is not a Duelyst character – she’s going to be cast in my other upcoming movie, Duelist (I’m using my connections at Bollywood for that one).

Also, all of these actors so far are excellent choices and it will be a small matter to hire them all. Keep up the good work, people!

P.S. Considering that I haven’t even finished the script or hired any actors yet, you may be surprised and elated to find out that the Duelyst movie is scheduled to release in Q4 of 2020!

You know, I always imagined Kaleos as an Asian dude. Then I went and looked up his lore more carefully and you’re actually right. He’s not from the land of pandas and calligraphy. His origin story is that “the Ghost Tiger has communed with the reincarnation of Kaon Deladriss from the Mists.” So your choice of Liam makes sense, though I was surprised by it at first :stuck_out_tongue:

Reva is definitely local to the region, though. Her lore said she watched the parade of the Dragon General “along with all the other people of her village.”

Now I’m led to wonder about Shidai Stormblossom. There is no lore whatsoever about Shidai (correct me if I’m wrong) But, I’d imagine he would be played by Mike Sui, the guy who played Tim in the film adaptation of The Wandering Earth. (Also, Shidai is male, right??? Because he doesn’t make the sound that Ziran makes when she punches things. The wiki uses the female pronoun when referring to Shidai though * scratches head * )
