Trials Of Mythron - Underlord Xor-Xull

Is the Scientist rotating? Would be so much fun with this card :stuck_out_tongue:

This card looks so fun it might actually get me to play Abyssian :stuck_out_tongue:. Having an immortal board immune to even EMP sure sounds atractive.

It’s fun. And also playable unlike Hai one.

EDIT. But it seems that when I’ll see Maehv on Ladder I will definitely know what her wincon is. That’s bad. Hope she gets more support to actually become interesting for me.

with the new intensify abyss minion it will be great

I wonder: if you take control of the Underlord with Grapnel or Dominate Will, will the minion’s Destiny ability become automatically viable since it’s already in game?

Sadly, Destiny works similar to opening gambit so Dominate Will shenangins won’t work here:

I was right about Kevin’s rating values. This one’s apparently broken. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also am I reading this correctly, are those random spaces? Is this a Saberspine “you are already dead” meme deck

It’s time to get my assassin reva deck out of the dust.
Win on 7 mana

Xor-Xull will be so much fun with Bond. Imagine Nightshroud in a dedicated Arcanyst deck. (Illusionist is quite the provider for cheap minions too if you need fodder to sacrifice)

Either Cass ping him/ Puppybirth him or sacrifice him with your load of spells to drain your opponent out in two or three steps because you have a giant board.

This^ might make me make a dedicated arcanyst list

I wonder if killing with Cass’ BBS or any hard removal counts, or should the spell be only of sacrifice type?

Dev clarified that Cass BBs counts making the card viable for all three generals. But I certainly think it will primarly be maevs main go to.

Card is super cool and I love it, but I am a bit nervous about its power level, if maev wasnt losing gnasher/prophet Id say she very likely may end up top tier, and she still may, card may end up as to much but we will see. Either way i am excited to start building around it, but am going to hold off on theory crafting until I see everything.

These are my thoughts as well. No Dioltas, so destroying a friendly minion 6 times in haste is basically death to tempo.

Yea, I ran a few practice rounds to see how long it takes to do the quest. Its pretty tricky really. Since Maev is losing prophet/gnasher maintaining tempo will be even harder.

Card is good, but it feels a lot like Variax, super strong late game, if you can get there. Its to hard to say right now, card could be to much, just right, or to slow. But I am pretty hyped for it as it opens up a lot of neat deck possibilities.

Sadly its random, or thankfully depending on how you feel about an easy and consistent OTK.

thankfully, otherwise we might see an ash mephyt/keeper songhai meta

we may still see it, but it wont be crazy

Did you use any other spells+BBS or just BBS?

BTW it’s better than Variax in a sense that you definitely will have it your hand when you need it. And worse, since it clogs your hand.

Darkfire, BBs, Ritual, Crypto, and Vellum scry. My feeling is prob end up skipping vellum and maybe ritual to and building more standard ramp maev with that as our top end rather then ultra dedicated to the gameplan. But I am resisting going overboard on theorycrafting until I see everything.

But that’s not nearly enough, is my point. Dying Wish has been my favorite archetype for years, I think I know how to pull off self sacrifice. But it isn’t enough.

Anyways a friend and I did some testing. Whether you play Lilithe or Maehv, you can get 6 self sacrifice spells off usually by 7-8 mana. The difference is that Maehv will be at 10hp and 2 cards while Lilithe will have 20hp and 4-5 cards.

One of the matches I played Maehv vs aggro Vet, healed for 23 and still died the turn after I completed my trial (and with 2 cards in hand).

I am now certain this will be a Lilithe card, but maybe I can build Maehv differently to get it to work, or maybe we’ll get more support for Maehv/self destruction. Maehv just murders herself too fast to play control.

On another note, devs confirmed this trial can be completed by any spell that kills a friendly minion cast by yourself, whether it’s a stolen Phoenix Fire or Necrotic or Consuming Rebirth.

Don’t forget both gameplans include having a better chance of winning the longer the game goes on, but Variax does it better with Maehv since she doesn’t damage herself to get a board, while Mythron requires more cards from hand or self harm bbs. But Mythron comes out earlier with immediate value, so… I guess we’ll see
