Idk how feasible this is but it might also go along way to spread word of the Kickstarter to gaming oriented YouTube channels, like ones that do a lot of lists and things. Even though there is no solid product it might gain some interest.

Yep, at this point the primary purpose of this kickstarter is just to help spread awareness. I am not pushing super hard for this one to succeed as its a bit of a long shot. Once there is a more complete product I will try again.
Any channel recommendations?

Idk maybe like gameranx, skylentgames, wanderbots, and then just channels of you guys that currently play or used to play dooli , like mogwai, that’s actually who I got my alpha key from all those years ago.

If i may opine, i’d rather have a similar game to duelyst than seeing it being revived.
It will give a fresh start both to the new game and players.
Developing a new game sure is hard and need a huge dedication, but reviving a dead IP is harder and riskier.

Starting from scratch is not only more work, but is not likely to capture the community. We want to take the idea, and improve upon it.
It will be it’s own game, but it will be very similar. We are going to do our best to move the focus back to the board, to cut unhealthy RNG, and fix old balance issues.

A tip:
Compile the java app into a executable jar file instead of exe. That way, one file can be dpeloyed across multiple platforms.

Question here - would there be any interest in updating on or expanding the game? Personally I would love to see another new set of cards.

Eventually yes. But that is a really long time down the road.
We are several months ahead of schedule right now because we found some partially created projects that we used as a foundation.
It’s going to take a couple months to polish and get p2p.
Going to take a few more after that to get all the existing cards more or less in. Likely with some small changes and balance.
Than some more time to polish and balance.
Than we really need to be focusing on having our own assets.
But than yes, new stuff! But right now we need lots of help in writing, assets, and coding.

Assets: Duelyst art, story, lore, and names. AKA the IP(Intellectual property.)
When mentioning assets we are mostly talking about art. While we can temporarily use Duelysts stuff, we need to make/find our own soon. So we need artists willing to lend their time. The discussion for that is all on discord currently.
Similarly we need people to help write up more lore/story and come up with new names / flavors for the existing units. Currently the discussion for that is taking place on the trello (Although we will be migrating to forums soon.)

@paulmuaddib Yea, it was sort of thrown together in a panic when the news came out. I do not have much hope for it. Once we have a more proper product than maybe we will try again with the kickstarter.
For now we have a great team of volunteers and are just trying to do things for free, and we will be able to continue doing that for quite some time.
