Dying Wish and trial in the same deck. That’s something I haven’t heard of in a while.

Maehv can go off sometimes, and it can feel pretty backbreaking. Most of it stems from Darkfire Sacrifice, which is one of the greatest enablers for Xor.

It isn’t consistent enough at what it does to be dominant, but with the right hand, the deck can cheese out wins against even the best players.

I wouldn’t let one match rattle you. If it happens consistently, let us know. We have a lot of people who have experience dealing with Maehv who can help. :grinning:

3 out of 5? That’s a lot of Maehv. Are they all Xor decks?

Yes all the same

Ok. So unless you’re using Doom, you’ll lose the value war against Xor, meaning you are almost certainly the beatdown deck. So you’ll want to play aggressively.

Xor decks have a decent amount of removal, but it is all single target removal (except maybe Necrotic Sphere? Not sure if that’s used). This means going wide and playing multiple smaller threats is better than investing in one big boy.

Gor and Sarlac are vital to the deck. If you can get them off the board, they need to play another undying minion before they can keep progressing trial. This slows the deck down significantly.

If I’m missing anything, hopefully others will chime in.

What archetype of Songhai? Spell decks and minion decks play vastly differently.

Xor has never been the strongest deck. The first few minions are usually tiny 1/1s and Maehv’s bbs sacrifices health, which leave them pretty vulnerable to aggressive decks.

Approximately half the deck of dying wish Xor, in particular, has almost no board presence.

The main weaknesses are aggro, dispel, and transform.

Xor Maehv has almost unrivaled highroll-potential but is waaaay too reliant on getting those highrolls to be considered good. You either get those crazy darkfire chains and ramp xor out early on or you get ran over

Cataclysmic Fault Vetruvian
and
Mythron Wanderer Ragnora

Are the only 2 decks that are realy overpowered right now(they got the top 2 spots on all community tierlists of the last year AND in community-tournaments both of these decks actually got 1 card that is important to them banned)

these 2 decks are not the strongest decks they just stupid enough to cheese wins out of long games.

i’ll say - if you run aggro reva or any fast dmg/combo based decks you will drop meahv and her shitty deck.

Are you talking about the 2 maehv lists or FV and WR in that first paragraph?

Xor is relatively easy to beat and not an overpowered deck if you know how to deal with it. If you don’t know that it can get out of hand and beat you down with their value.

Go face, get them low enough that they can’t use their BBS without you punishing them hard and you win. Just be faster than them, before they fulfill their trial, their board is pretty weak.
Keep removal for their Shadowdancer.
Make value trades but mostly ignore their board (especially their small minions).

Onyx Jaguar has a solid burst potential and you can abuse their Gors with your Scroll Bandits and steal their spells. Last time I stole 3 Darkfire Sacrifices and 1 Aphotic Drain, that was hilarious.
Flamewreath is also really good to kill 4/4s and deal face damage at the same time.
Onyx Jaguar offers great value, its only weakness is Ironclad because it dispels the whole board.
Kaleos has a lot of mobility, Maehv should not be able to keep up with that.

Can you link a game you lost?
