Lyonar Arcanyst?

Heya Lyonar specialists !
I’m struggling for more than a year to find something fun and unusual with Lyonar (and effective). I usually avoid complelty to play this faction but, you know … collecting … I want to unlock Brome.

So, I’m thinking about bringing back old Lyonar Arcanyst with the Magnetize+DB on a buffed Arcanyst (thanks to Owlbeast). Dunno if I’m doing it right, so I’m putting it here for your feedbacks.

Draw engines :

  • Loreweaver (almost 40% deck is spells)
  • Aegis Barrier
  • Blue Conjurer

Some heal, plenty dispell … may lack of hard removal (which ?) :frowning:

Also, was thinking about combo Prism.Illusionist+Auroara, anybody tested that ?

Pretty interesting deck utilizing provoke. More or less my deck (not sure what exactly, but i’m Doing my best on mobile). Win-con is usually alabaster titan or (surprisingly enough) spriggin spawns.

Not sure if you are meant to say frigging or spriggans, but it is now a meme. Everyone, spread the word, the sprigging spawns are coming.

Also, this card would be pretty good with infest from abyss.

Magnetize is cute, but it is easier just to play the Owl close to the action and a couple of spells to keep it alive until your next turn.

Also, since your win con is DB, you might as well put in Ironcliffes.

You have a huge amount of dispel in your deck. It is probably better just to run things that kill stuff.

Buffing Arcanysts (like Illusionist) can be fun, but it doesn’t work so well in practice.

With my deck, I should probably put some Saberspine Tigers in, but that will affect the curve and how to play the deck. The Beam Shocks and a Windblade Adept could be subbed out for the Tigers though.

I used to play such a deck before UP, but it was someone else that designed it.
Fun but slow.

For your deck. Trinity wing might be more usefull than loreweaver, because it can fly.
Also there are 2 mana arcanysts :wink:

And no holy immolation? But maybee that’s what your going for? :thinking:

I love these decks! I highly recommend throwing in Ironcliffe so that your Magnetize DB Combo doesn’t solely depend on Owlbeast. I would also cut your arcanysts down unless you want this to be more of an Arcanyst deck than a combo deck (I always just go for the combo, all in). I just run Manaforger, Owlbeast and Trinity (flying DB) although I used to run Illusionist, it’s also strong in this deck.

You have a ton of dispel, not sure you need the Benders. Loreweaver is also likely a bad card, don’t need multiples of any of your spells. Holy Immolation and Trinity Oath are pretty solid because they can be ramped our with Manaforger. Not sure of the purpose for Sundrop and Templar, it’s not a good 2 drop for this deck and if you need healing I think Scintilla is probably the call.

Thanks for feedbacks, I really wanted something less mainstream/obvious and wanted to make Arcanyst works … guess I’ll go with classical DB deck with IronCliff, Dioltas and shit (HolyImmo) :frowning:

Yeah … fuck me, I want Brome, even if I never play it, it’s a matter of collection and I won’t pay for this :slight_smile:

Lyonar is really the anticreative faction to me when it comes to deck building …
