Can you carry Creep to S-rank if your good with the deck? Sure.
Is it top tier right now? Probably not.
Is it worth dropping all the spirit on the Legends required for the deck given that half of them rotate out within the next 2 months? Certainly not.
Is creep still viable?
Aren’t most creep supports getting rotated out anyway? I don’t think it’s worth the effort discussing its viability, as it will either become completely unusable or be supported by new cards from future expansions.
I mean any cass deck would do for me. i just figured since cass’ whole thing is creep that creep builds were all she was used for. I’m honestly just trying to find a use for these 3 punish I have no use for currently
During RoTB Aggro Cass started to pick up some steam then in AB OT just got stronger, when it came into AB Aggro Cass was at it’s peak regularly ending games with 12+ attack spectral revenants and now it’s just a weaker version of that deck.
If you really want to you could try some sort of midrange Cass build. Like this for example. https://imgur.com/iTmpFWE
It’s kinda rotation proof and works decently in the current meta.
Aggro cass sounds interesting. Although from the sounds of it there’s probably alot of epics and legendaries being thrown around which are not in my budget currently (I’m between jobs atm. Which is slang for I live in a basement and don’t pay rent and spend my time binging on CCG games) otherwise i’d have long since dropped a big ol bill on this game
You can probably find an alternative for Desolator in the form of EMP.
huh, this doesn’t run thunderhorn, guess I need to find space for it.
P.S dancing Blades is still good.
So what’s the gameplan for aggro cass. Like how do you play it. I’m too used to abyssian being “swarm or creep pick one”
go face, I would recommend adding 3x thunderhorn as well as that puts a must answer threat on board.
Aggro Cass is a deck that buffs big minions with an early-game Phantasm, and then rush the opponent with big stats and the occasional Desolator. I haven’t seen much of the deck since the Phantasm Revenant Tiger nerf, although it used to be quite powerful.
That would have been that strategy before phantasm nerf, but know it’s invalid.
What you do now is go face.
Ghost Azalea is still pretty good when ran 2-3x, and catches people off guard. This is the deck that I used for a quick climb to Diamond in November, I’d expect that it still works just fine.
Original deckthread Casszalea (from rank 8 to 5 in 17 games)
But, indeed if you want to play ladder in the future better just wait and get whatever better creep support they create in the next expansion.
I wonder if the current meta is too fast for that deck - I mean if you get to Turn 9 alive then you win - Variax’s bbs is insane for creep and the endgame is just a joke.
But wow you could have fun with this!!
The deck has good healing, lots of silly stuff you can do with Grincher and potential 8 mana OTK with double Azalea so it can win games that more traditional builds would most likely lose. That said, not like it’s tier 1 or anything but it should have a good chance against many of the decks out there, at least until high Diamond Variax is actually more of a “plan B” and not the main focus of the deck.
The thing that defines control decks right now are not their heavy wincons but their ability to stay stable early on. Thats why healyonar can be played as a controldeck in diamond(and maybe S) without topnotch wincon:it is quite good at staying alive and disrupting the opponent
That is what I am trying to do with my Healyonar - just not doing a very good job of it
Aggro is pretty difficult to play, but you have to put constant pressure on the enemy general through face damage and removal, and if you don’t you lose.
Every card in the deck is designed to go face. Dank Seed, Primus, Flameblood, Void Pulse, Spectral, Desolator, Betrayal are all for face damage to burn them down. The rest of the deck is Ephemeral/DBlades/Lure/Punish etc to keep their board clear since you won’t have the threats on board to answer theirs. Grasp is great because it does both.
Death here is Cassy’s perfected aggro deck. I’ve played it, it’s friggin’ viscious and the most fun I’ve ever had with Abyssian or aggro. It also costs a pretty fair chunk of spirit.
That being said, here’s a budget pile of trash I threw together just now:
Cheap, and it’ll get you started. But it’s a pale shadow of the one I mentioned above.
Edit: Usually don’t summon the battle pets you get off the golden mantellas, battle pets tend to be fairly trash with how exploitable they are. Cycle them out so they serve as card draw instead.
Creep is wayyy too slow for this meta. It is really good if you can survive though, or if you can get your first Klaxon off without proper removal.
