Immortal Vanguard - Build Mechanic

Anyhow, it’s an interesting mechanic that has me mildly intrigued. I’m happy this promotes board interaction, but the minions they summon will need to be worth their weight in salt to justify running. I’ll hold off judgement until we learn more.

This looks way too easy to counter with all the hard removals that exists. Maybe Will see some Serious antispell mechanics?

Maybe the “assembled” minions will all be untargetable by spells.

It seems the general consensus is that (1) the structure is easy to remove, (2) the structure is horribly slow and (3) the spawned minion must be sick to justify the cost. Since I think CPG wants to promote the new mechanic, they surely have something in mind to make it viable :wink:

I assume that the build minions are active the turn they transform, so playing something with build 2 will get you an active minion at the beginning of your turn, 2 turns later.

That would be incredibly broken. I’m expecting more ‘OG: progress friendly build counters’

Ragnora is very much able to deal with it (Ripper + any thing).

I’ll withhold my excitement. As I see it, sentinels still needs to be addressed. I don’t fully understand how this build keyword will operate, so I can’t really evaluate it, but if the similarities overlap that of sentinels, I expect this to hinder the game than to improve it.

wait a minute

if you debuff a building
then it finishes building
does the debuff stick?
cause that would make things like sand trap viable
and stun

im also sad that nobody mentioned nightsorrow assassin

It’s a transform effect like any other transform in the game: whatever buffs or debuffs you apply to the building are lost when it transforms at the end of its Build cycle.

If the rest follow the example of the Hulk, then this is going to be awesome. More board related stuff, more tower defense, a new dynamic between control and aggro, and an interesting target for the new sabovet support.

I hope you have some good defense that come with this idea ! Because right now, I can see many existing card that will make their meal from those thing. Do not disapoint us, I’m begging you, do not make it a disapointment.

Why be afraid?

If the cards are bad, the game moves on as normal. As long as they don’t break the game, how well they actually do really doesn’t matter so much.

Well they are def removal bait which lessens the amount of removal u have in ur deck. Unless ur like Vanar that has or worry u abit
