I recently started playing Duelyst about a month ago and I was instantly drawn to the Vetruvian faction. I love control style decks and being able out value your opponents with dervishs from Exhuming Sand and Obelysks appealed to me. However, I find that the Obelysks are rather weak and don’t do a very good job of controlling an area and zoning the opponent. In my mind, I’m building an empire on the board from the ground up with an Obelysk deck and with sufficient time Vetruvian Imperium is the most powerful empire.

Wind Dervishs cannot exist when not adjacent to an Obelysk. This severely limits the range of an Obelysk.

The Ephemeral keyword would be changed to mean a minion cannot exist when not adjacent to an Obelysk. Wind Dervishs would also no longer disappear at the end of the owner’s turn which means (assuming no Wind Dervishs have died) an Ethereal Obelysk would be able to host 8 Wind Dervishs after 8 turns. Since no other card or token shares this keyword is wouldn’t affect anything other than Wind Dervishs.

Wind Dervishs have Flying/no movemevent restrictions within the range of an Obelysk. This allows movement of up to 4 tiles, corner to corner of it’s host Obelysk. However a Wind Dervish can survive if you have another Obelysk nearby that it can move to. It would take 6 Obelysks perfectly spaced across the board to essentially give your Wind Dervishs Flying. However your Obelysks must be close enough together to allow them to stay adjacent to an Obelysk at all times or it dies.

I also want to nerf the Wind Dervish’s health to 1 as compensation for increase in mobility.
