I installed Duelyst in October, but didn’t really play it because I forgot about it. I was cleaning up my laptop when I saw this and did a facepalm. So I’ve loaded it up, and have decided to only play Sajj. Of course, because I haven’t played for that long (read: about 4 minutes), I’ll need to play a small amount of Zirix. From lurking a bit here, I do understand that Sajj is currently the worst general, but I will stick with her 'til this game dies. After disenchanting some bad legendaries I had from when I did the Humble Bundle thing from a while back, I now have exactly 2820 spirit. What do I craft in order to get the most out of my Queen?
Hey Forum-goers! I'm ServantOfSajj!
Make Aymara Healers.
3 of 'em, right?
Edit: WOW THOSE LOOK GOOD.
Welcome fellow subject of the Imperium. Your best bet is making Aymara Healer. She is the pride of any Vetruvian deck.
After crafting some Aymara’ you’ll need:
3x falcius
3x pax
2-3 zephyrs
Some artifacts
some stars fury’s
And 1 salt shaker
Enjoy your stay at the Imperium!
EDIT: Also, kara’s (or starhorn but I digress) worst general. Sajj is decent now
Why would I need a salt shaker? Getting salty from serving royalty is an indicator of weak character.
Oh, it’s just that vet is okay atm but not the best, and losing to vet is a sign of being bad at the game. The salt shaker is for the enemy, not you.
Ohhh. That makes sense.
It’s for purifying the ground after Abyssian touches it. Don’t you know it’s tradition?
That makes even more sense. Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up.
Eh, Falcius is always priority above Aymara (not that it matters much, since it is a common) and Pax is somewhat overrated. I’d craft Azure Heralds before Pax for Sajj.
I agree that pax is overrated, Sajj has little need for him since she usually doesn’t run much dervish support. For Sajj I would recommend Falcius and most of the Rise of the Bloodborn cards (RoB cards can’t be crafted, you can only get them from Bloodborn orbs for 300 gold per orb). I’m currently using Sajj and I would like to say that the RoB cards help a lot, so I would advise investing gold in Bloodborn orbs.
So I’ve got the following deck:
Scion’s First Wish x 3
Pax x 1
Scion’s Second Wish x 3
Staff of Y’kir x 3
Saberspine Tiger x 3
Wildfire Ankh x 2
Blistering Skorn x 1
Entropic Decay x 3
Mindwarper x 1
Mirage Master x 1
Silhouette Tracer x 1
Sunsteel Defender x 3
Wind Shrike x 3
Grincher x 2
Inquisitor Kron x 2
Keeper of the Vale x 1
Starfire Scarab x 1
Aymara Healer x 2
Bloodletter x 3
It’s been performing quite well in Bronze, but that’s probably no indicator of actual validity. The game plan is to keep the opponent from having any minions out at the end of your turn, then drop strong minions at the end of yours. If something dies, just KotV it back onto the board. I’ve done this with Krons and an Aymara, and both times it’s won me the game.
Things that have worked well:
Kron, Aymara, Pax, both Wishes, Skorn against that one chick who summons those 1/1s, Wildfire, KotV, Mirage Master, and the real MVP, Sunsteel. He’s worked wonders.
##Things that have not:
Tigers, Grincher sucks, I haven’t actually played Tracer, Scarab, or Mindwarper yet, and Wind Shrike does absolutely nothing.
That deck is ok for silver. I don’t like Bloodletter very much since he is pretty weak for 6 mana but aside from that everything else is ok for a new player’s deck. Tiger can do wonders if you use second wish on him and he provides semi ranged removal which Vet lacks (although the Ankh can somewhat help with this problem, it isn’t very useful against Songhai.). Grincher is a fun card, but eventualy I would replace him with Incinera. Incinera is amazing when you have the ankh on, especially if you get two of them out at once. A 5\6 body is pretty nice too.
I got Concealing Shroud, Ethereal Blades, and Grandmaster Variax.
All of which are great cards, but I can’t use them.
Your 1 ofs and 2 ofs trigger me.
Have you never seen a new player’s deck before?
Anyways @ServantOfSajj, I hope you enjoy the game, good to have you here. Sajj is p fun to play right now.
Get Falcius. It’s a very good common vet card used at almost every vet deck.
Yep. Ayylmaof**kyou™ healers are about the best investment one can make.
Also, consider mirage masters. Nothing quite as fun as stealing a kolosus and then make it FLY. (with astral phasing)
Fun fact: If you copy a minion with rush, it’ll also have rush. WINK WINK
Also Makantor. Cloning those is fun. Yes. Lots of fun.
