Seems playing Thunderhorn after playing Ox causes the damage to chain as if Thunderhorn were attacking. Probably a small bug in comparison to other things because of how uncommon Ox is, but one that should still probably be fixed nonetheless because I assume this is unintentional.

Thunderhorn’s text states: “whenever this minion damages an enemy, it also damages all joined enemies”, so naturally when he uses Ebon Ox’s ability to deal damage he deals damage to joined enemies. Ebon Ox will also proc other “whenever this deals damage” abilities like Purgatos’s and Sojourner’s.
Well then I would also assume those interactions are unintentional as well because Ox’s card text states that it deals their cost as damage which has nothing to do with the ability of the summoned minion, unless of course I’m still not understanding this.
When Ebon Ox’s effect is in place the minion summoned deals damage equal to its cost. This is why minions whose text reads “whenever this deals damage” (like Thunderhorn) proc their effects upon being summoned while minions whose text states “whenever this minion attacks” (like Gorehorn) do not.
I suppose that that makes sense in a way, I just didn’t really see the the damage as coming from Thunderhorn, rather from an outside source or from Ox.
