Duelyst Watch section for live streams is not working

For the last few days the Duelyst Watch section for live streams is not working, neither when someone is streaming (1 or more streamers) nor when nobody is streaming. In both cases the Healing Mystic keeps loading and loading…

Restarting client doesn’t help.

Also when you login to the client you don’t see the red recording dot next to Watch even though there is someone streaming.

Hopefully you can tell someone about that and get a fix in? Nobody realizes when it is not working but seeing a streamer there is a representation to (parts of) the community that the game still has support in the community (if you get what I mean).

Hmm, I can ask on Monday but it may seem that the plugin we used to have for Twitch was finally deprecated.

I had to give this warning message to the few new streamers (such as PsnDonut and Muramasaz) we added to the list a while ago, so for full transparency, here’s what was said

So you can’t update the plugin?

AFAIK it’s a two way lock out - Twitch won’t be using the plugin anymore, and we don’t have a method of updating Duelyst’s internal structure for that section of code either

That is very sad to hear, a lot of people rely on the watch section for finding streamers.

At this point, if you can’t even get Namco to set some resources aside to update a bit of essential code, then there is something seriously wrong with this partnership. I understand Duelyst is not considered a priority on either side but this issue just seems important to resolve and I can’t imagine it being difficult to do so.

I also understand it’s out of your hands, I hope a split from the deadweight company that is Namco is something you and the other devs are considering when it is most opportune.

Well a split is obviously very complicated if you look at how closely everything is connected. Not sure anyone wants to really put the time and energy into something which doesn’t benefit them instantly.
