Duelyst Patch 1.92 - Immortal Vanguard Expansion!

Immortal Vanguard Expansion Launch!

IV Orbs

There are over 100 new cards dropping in with our newest expansion – Immortal Vanguard!

We're also introducing six new Generals to the mix, something we haven't done since the release of Duelyst!

With our expansion, we're also creating a brand new mechanic (Build) as well as shiny new Mechs.

Since this might be a lot to take in all at once, take some time to read some helpful articles about each feature.

New Generals | Build Mechanic | Mech Update

We also have a small but special event for the next two weeks - the first time you log in you'll receive three Immortal Vanguard Orbs.

This one-time log-in event will award you with a gift crate and is available until November 28th, so pick up your orbs by then!

New Emotes and Profile Icons!

Emotes

With this patch, we're also supporting the newest generation of Generals with their own emotes and profile icons!

Pick your favorites out of the armory and express yourself on the battlefield.

New Game Feature - Transformation Reference

Playing against Magmar and have no idea what that egg will hatch into? Having trouble trying to remember all the new Build minions coming with the expansion?

Have no fear, it's time to discover a new feature here, meet the new Transformation Reference tech!

This new tech will allow you to hover over Buildings and Eggs to see what cards they'll transform into.

Collection Set Update

We have a rather large announcement we want to make. With the inclusion of Immortal Vanguard, we're now over 800 cards! As exciting as that milestone is, we have a little maintenance we would like to do to polish the overall Duelyst experience. We have a lot to cover, so please find a comfy spot and take some time to read this article.

Build Mechanic Update

If you had read the article upon when it first released, we had mentioned the following

"In the case that a Build structure is returned to the action bar, the owner will receive a copy of the original minion - not a 0/10 Structure. This means you can play your minion again and start the Build process from the beginning."

We have since updated that mechanic - if a Build Structure is returned to the action bar, the owner will now receive a copy of the 0/10 Build Structure instead.

To accommodate these changes, Buildings will now match their minion's Mana Cost (as such, will no longer default to 9 mana), allowing you to play the Building again for its original cost, and the structure will eventually build into the specified minion.

Diamond Store Changes

We have another touch up on the Diamond system for all you Duelyst enthusiasts.

As many of you have mentioned, Diamond purchases simply don't match the orb bundles found in the armory.

We highly appreciate and value everyone's feedback on the virtual currency system, so we're back at it again with another update!

Old Diamond System

Price Diamonds Bonus Total
$5.00 500 0% 500
$15.00 1,500 0% 1,500
$40.00 4,000 5% 4,200
$70.00 7,000 10% 7,700
$150.00 15,000 15% 17,250

New Diamond System

Price Diamonds Bonus Total
$4.50 450 0% 450
$10.00 1,000 5% 1,050
$25.00 2,500 10% 2,750
$50.00 5,000 15% 5,750
$120.00 12,000 20% 14,400

This new system was made to help alleviate those awkward purchasing concerns while also lowering the pricepoint you would invest in Duelyst.

The new 1000 Diamond bundle exists to help bridge the gap between orb bundles, while still allowing players to purchase their keys and special one-time offers in the armory such as Division Bundles or the 10 Orb Launch Offer.

With these changes, we've also started the bonus Diamond earlier (and getting higher) allowing you to get more out of your Diamond purchases. Combined with our periodic monthly sales, you'll be getting more Duelyst content for cheaper!

since I have a Kongregate account, is there a feature that will make me able to transer progress (aka link the two accounts)?
if there isn’t that won’t hurt me much since I play primairly on Steam, but it might be nice for some people

edit: I just realized that I can link my Kongragate account to my steam account lol

The transformation reference will be a really nice addition, no more guessing what the eggs from Juggernaut will be.

The transformation reference is fantastic for new players that don’t know the cards that opponent’s are using by name.

As far as Flash Reincarnation change goes, I feel like this has some sort of changed interaction with a card that escaped my mind. Anyone know something that procs when general deals damage to a creature?

Morin Khur is the answer. You were able to hatch your eggs with a 0 mana spell.

I should, really, by happy with this, finally.
But all I can think of is: “But all the creep cards will rotate out anyway”.

Appreciate the free orbs and gift crate and the transformation hover help and such.

It’s just… still in shock, just heard about it earlier today.

Tons of good stuff in here, thanks! It seems developers are taking seriously a lot of recommended feedback and introducing reasonable practices in the way Duelyst is going. I feel more confident on the future of this game!

Don’t worry, they will definitely add more creep cards in the future, or just add more creep support to the core set. It’s one of the defining Abyss mechanics after all.

Yes, I would really assume they will. The whole rotation thing just really overshadows it all, for me, now.
I won’t even play the new expansion or open orbs today as it would totally ruin the experience for me now.

I am feeling down, and I just have this mega-strong feeling of “why bother, with anything… everything will be gone/removed in the end”. I hope that feeling is mostly gone tomorrow.

They’ve stated rotated-out cards will still have a use, so I (and many others) presume we’ve yet to see their plans. I’m personally hoping it’s a Wild ladder, like in Hearthstone, with every card available.

I like the creep info change but why put it on the general and not the red “health” are on the creep location since that is empty anyway?

Tiny bug here, those three free orbs never appeared, could be a bug as result of being logged in when the latest “matchmaking” patch deployed (game abruptly closed).

That’s something you could say about anything humans have or will ever create…
…I sincerely hope you do feel more positive tomorrow.

well this says 94 cards -_-

(They don’t count the six Generals.)

This also doesn’t count the tokens

@ThanatosNoa, don’t know if anyone else has it but I’m using chrome. I’ll check steam in a few mins.
