Discord Rich Presence Integration

By allowing Discord to display your current running games, your friends can now see what game mode you're currently in. Have Duelyst already up and running? If you're friends in-game with that person, you can also start to spectate them from Discord - it will pull up their ranked or friendly match in the client for you!

New Weekly Bosses

Return of the Monthly Quest

Bug Fixes and Updates

  • For those still unaware - we fixed the Ranked Division drop bug at the beginning of September
  • Made text corrections to visual errors of the following items/descriptions
    • Faction Quests
    • Earning Gold
    • "Code Text" messages
    • Various tooltip plates
    • Azure Herald's ability
    • Meltdown's ability
    • Nimbus' ability
    • Sunseer's ability
  • Fixed an interaction with Matron Elveiti - Generals can now be damaged from Counterattacks and Frenzy
  • Fixed an interaction with Araki Headhunter - No longer gains bonus attack from any keyword
  • Free Card of the Day can now pull Unearthed Prophecy common cards

It is very sad but at the same time so funny that of all the things possible to be done with a patch CPG deceides to go for discordsupport and the nerf of matron…they are realy working on killing all of our faith into them

There is nothing needed to be added at this point I guess they could bring back monthly cards but thats it.

That was literally the only thing that MAYBE made Matron worth playing, not even… Such a perfect case of “It’s not a bug, it’s a feature” and the playerbase would have been fine with it.

We were told Matron was working as intended by a member of the team (he insisted it should work that way). I crafted some because of that. The ‘fix’ is really a nerf. Do we get our spirit back for disenchanting it?

I see our typical patch notes vultures are out and about. Ever the pessimists.

Sad to see the Matron change, but if the effect was unintended (a bug), so be it.

Oi Emil! I think you made a mistake and reposted last month’s patch!

What’s that? This is all we are getting this month? Well that’s just bloody peachy!

All that aside, there is really not much to see here. The discord thing… happened. I’m not sure what knowing what game mode people on discord are playing will add to the discord/in game experience other than maybe catching up with streamers, but then again, you might as well just open twitch to catch it. The text changes were long overdue. I expected them to be changed along with the de-rank bug. The lack of balance changes make me worried if CPG will ever do changes for the sake of keeping the game fresh, instead of just emergency nerfs. The lack of “upcoming features” section is also a bit worrisome.
