Have you heard of songhai? Hint hint, their burst is by far the best and not matched by Magmar.
Does Magmar need a nerf?
Songhai does about half the burst of Magmar, so it’s pretty strong.

Firestorm mantra. Eight gates. Mask of shadows + bangle. Yes. “Half the burst.” What insane burst cards does magmar have that compare to songhai? Decispikes? That’s only 9 damage for 7 mana. (Dealing 3 damage to yourself). Name some magmar burst cards that are out of the ordinary compared to other factions.
Greater Fortitude deals 10. Actually, what’s the point of this. What a waste of time.

When put upon ripper. Which has to hatched to become unexhausted. And 10 damage? That’s all you’ve got? Songhai has lethal or almost lethal bursts.

To be honest, I agree. I would say ripper is a bit too strong. Perhaps a nerf to ragnora, not magmar itself.

Magmar’s Kujata and Flash Reincarnation, together with Starhorn’s BBS and Seismoid make sure that no new Neutral Mech win con or enabler can be added unless it’s markedly slow or overpriced.
Edit: Or has the “Except for Magmar” keyword.

Songhai doesn’t carry 10 dmg 6 mana combo out of three cards.

Btw a general question. If magmar is so overpowered, and, as people have said, “Almost unbeatable,” why does Magmar see rare play?
It’s not as if mantra decks carry lethal in their hand at any given point using only one minion before hand (abjudicator).
Wanderer Ragnora is literally the top of the meta deck list.

Again, doesn’t mean that it’s unbeatable. Also this brings us back to the discussion of nerfing ragnora, and not magmar.
Ragnora is part of Magmar… you didn’t say nerf the ENTIRE faction.
