You had a preview of the deck before, but here it is in it’s full optimal glory.
Well, as optimal as I’m going to make it.
At it’s worst, it’s an average control deck. At it’s best, it’s a rage-inducing highroll spitting machine.
You have Hearth-Sister and Repulsor Beast to really optimize the effects of your BBS, Sunset Paragon and Lightbender. These last two allow to contain a very wide range of opposing decks, and put bodies on the floor for possible use with Razorback.
In this list I positively love Alcuin Loremaster, to either reinforce my own strategy, or to give the opponent a taste of its own medicine (Glacial Fissuring back felt awesome).
Malicious Wisp is going your #1 mana oppressor, and ideally you will disable it’s Dying Wish with Lightbender or Aspect of Ego.
The #2 mana overdrive is going to be Aspect of Ego on Jax Truesight. It’s a huge swing in board presence and probably a game ender.
Other win conditions include Razorback after you have established a board, and Saberspine Alpha which is a solid card on its own. Did you know that playing Aspect of Ego on an Alpha has 4 chances out of 5 to give you a minion with better attack? How cool would it be to high roll at 8 mana with a Rushing Paddo?
All around good deck, with solid support from mana ramp and Faie’s continuous burn, and very satisfying moments.
If you feel at ease without Spelljammer, I suggest Grimes instead, and in that case you might also be inclined to replace Alcuin Loremaster with Bloodbound Mentor.
