Vanar’s bloodbound spell is really annoying like no matter where you are in the match the can wipe a whole column with no effort and it’s now something that can be spammed with the use of Cryptographer. It’s the only bloodbound that does damage like why?
Can we remove vanars free damage shot
Git gud and play around it. If you see he’s going to have his BBS ready next turn, don’t position your minions in a way that benefit it.
I think you’re missing the point. It hits you in the face for 2 every turn in a faction with powerful control tools
what do you suggest to replace it? if you take away the damage aggro vanar is trash. plus doesn’t cassyva damage? like minons but still. (damn I sounded basic right there but whatever)
Agreed, remove Faie or rework her
with her it’s ok because one it 1 point of damage and two it can only hit one enemy
alright fair, so what do you think faie’s new bloodbound should be?
a stun instead of damage and not a whole column
ppphhh
This thread again.
Let me guess, you are new, and just got smoked on ladder by a faie player.
I can start explaining why if you rework faie you have to rework every slight powerhouse in the game.
Keep playing man, you’ll figure out how to play against her with time, besides - believe me tgat playing faie or vanar in general is no walk in the park.
We already have it - it’s called ilena, btw - mark my works when i say it if ilena will get slighty more of an offense support you’ll scream like a bitch.
There is Hai Geomancer and Lyonar Tempest guy, btw.
Beware dear boy, the White Knights cometh.
I think if there was a rework it should be something like 2 damage to the general, 1 to other enemies in the column, or switch the damage values so it’s 1 to general, 2 to enemies. This way it’s not so cruel.
i don’t think a rework is in order, the reason being, every faction got a control, aggro, midrange oriented general - faie is the aggro one and you need the skill to play against her, which means if you are not that good --> you’ll misplay, and it’s OK, we don’t need to run and rework for every new player coming in guns blazing.
kara was broken and got reworked because on tournaments everyone abused her bbs, faie players are not even 20 percents on leading decks which gives you a major look on how faie is.
with it - playing vanar this days is hard! take my word for it it’s hard, because almost every faction got tool to sustain through a faie aggro match and win.
now yes faie got a strong bbs but is the bbs got much synergy in faction? no… look at bbs like shidai’s or lilith - you can potentially finish a game on 5 mana thanks to bbs, faie can’t do it her bbs lacks power to create powerful turns boardwise, that’s why the dmg is more then justified.
my point is - throwing dmg is not everything, and cpg wants you to actually think about your positioning and plays, skillcap is what makes this game so great, get better that’s all.
If you’re complaining about anything in vanar except malicious wisp in todays age it shows us how bad you’re at the game, just hit Faie as hard as you can and she folds.
She ain’t hard to beat in the current meta, just hit her hard.
It isn’t every turn until the late-game, and early on that’s a mana point that is likely better invested elsewhere.
It’s literally a non-issue if you just play around it.
Literally everyone here isn’t exactly replying to what he’s saying. In my opinion, Faie and Vanar are balanced fine and playing around Warbird is easy and all but few people agree that a 2 damage face BBS is good design. Without the face damage it’s useless, so to be changed it would have to be reworked.
I’m not saying Faie should be changed I’m just saying the guy isn’t wrong, so just telling him ‘lol learn to play around Warbird’ isn’t helpful and doesn’t progress the conversation. This is about if Warbird is well made not if Vanar is OP.
I disagree. Telling someone to play around a particular card or ability that they have trouble with is exactly what should be done. The problem would lie in if it was a card/ability that could not be played around, such as Malicious Wisp.
I mean, come on. This line was just downright silly:
