I’ve Decided to revive the ancient forum game of meme building. The rules are simple: Everybody can add from 1 to 3 copies of a card of their choice to the deck and once it is complete I will play it on the ladder. If there will be to many cards I lack I may be forced to find similar replacements among those I have (for example replacing 3x Rook with Red Synja or Astral Crusader). I will however prioritize crafting lacking cards over finding replacements whenever possible.

Our deck will start like this.

Battle report:

Round 1 vs aggro Faie

We start out rather badly and at the end die to fissure (my bad). Actually, we would have lost even if I didn’t play into fissure but that doesn’t justify my misplay.

Round 2 vs Ragnora
Things started rather well but I got disconected from the battle very early. Match doesn’t count.

The actual round 2 vs Apex Starhorn

I didn’t realise I was up against Apex until the very end but there wouldn’t of been much I could have done anyway. An easy lose.

Round 3 vs Tempo(?) Argeon
We get overwhelmed be Argeon’s army and are forced to run away. We beg Paddo to save us but he puts a deaf ear to our pleas and leaves us to die.

Round 4 vs Artifact Zir’an
We try to have fun by copying Sunforge Lancer with Mirage Master and Mirrorim. I die to my folly of first trying to break Arclyte Regalia with my face and then messing up the order of action to remove Dawn’s Eye.

Round 5 vs @alplod
I disconnect before the battle even starts. Match doesn’t count.

The actual round 5 vs Tempo(?) Argeon (again)
Things go better at first than last time but at the end Paddo betrays us yet again denying us lethal.

meme deck №2: Ox Reva

Battle report:

Round 1 vs Titan Argeon piloted by GM Alphacentury!

Fighting Alphacentury with a regular deck would be very hard and fighting him with a meme doesn’t end any better than you would expect. Nothing notable happens aside from us building Manakite Drifter with almost no way to abuse its ramp.

Round 2 vs Wanderer Faie

Things don’t start that bad, we manage to curve out Ox by 7 mana to greet Wanderer and have Health advantage over the enemy General. I was actually expecting to win this match but a perfect Wanderer boosted Luminous charge dashed my dreams of victory. A close match nonetheless.

Round 3 vs Wanderer Kara

We manage to curve out Ox by 7 mana but the situation is vastly worse for us than in the prior match and it only snowballs with time.

Round 4 vs Replace Argeon

This match goes back and forth for a good portion of the match. I eventually make a terrible mistake in assuming this is a Titan/replace Deck and stop playing around Holy Immolation which turned the match from “I almost won” to “I almost lost”. Notable things include witnessing Sarlac’s interaction with Ox, Me forgetting I have Twighlight fox on board when I BBS (really I have no idea how that slipped past my mind) and Me actually winning! Despite questionable plays from both sides I find this to be the most interesting match not because it was the one I won but because it was the most fun one.

Round 5 vs Fault Vet

We almost brick and have terrible start as P2, a solitary Swamp entagler isn’t that threatoning now is it? Combine our terrible start with our opponent’s good start, our Lategame Vs theirs and we get what we would expect.

This deck actually seems better than the last one, it was more enjoyabe to play and we finally got a win too! The next deck will be coming soon™

meme deck №3: Egg Grow hybrid

The battle report is a bit messy today because I didn’t count all of the matches I played with this deck for various reasons, mostly do to either me disconnecting when I’m supposed to make important moves or my opponent Rage conceding before the match is even decided.

Battle report:

Round one vs Wanderer Ragnora

In which our opponent learns that it is a bad idea to stand near several minions on primordial flourish while we have a Moloki on board and a terrible idea to do so when they have already used their lightbender. Notable things include a Beefy Warpup and Ragnora getting beat up by a bunch of Grow minions.

After our glorious victory we get 3 matches where I disconnect. Quite a shame considering at least 2 of them were in my favour. Notable things that happened in theese unseen matches include me learning that Dreadnought doesn’t buff eggs already on the field, Valknu actually hatching, Sinister Silhouette growing to a massive size and GM Kraigen getting a chance to proc his effect.

Round 2 vs Eggmar

In which we learn how annoying Zoetic Charm can be and I shame myself so much I have to refrain from posting this match. Sorry folks, but I really don’t want to share this one.

Round 3 vs Aggro Cassyva

In which we learn that Aggro Cass is still good against decks with no healing and
those full of minions with no immediate impact. Our deck happens to be both of those things.

Then we get a match were our opponent concedes well before the match has been decided completely. I was winning but I still was far from a guaranteed lethal. Disqualified.

Round 4 vs Wanderer Ragnora

In which Dreadnought shows what he is made of and we surround the enemy general with buffed up eggs.

Round 5 vs Wanderer Ragnora

In which Eternal Heart doesn’t keep us safe and we learn that that we don’t always have a good matchup against Wanderer Rag. Technically I disconnected at the end but the match was clearly decided by then so I opt to count this match as Legit instead of adding it to the already large list of disqualified matches.

I actually liked this deck, if not for constant disconnects from my side it would have been much more enjoyable. I might actually play it a few more times before I split it up into two decks, one dedicated to Grow and the other dedicated to Valknu and other Egg stuff.

Battle report:

Round one vs Titan Replace Brome

In which we get surrounded by Kron and his prisoners who then borrow the power of a Titan to do some overkill damage to us.

Round 2 vs Wanderer Faie

In which we lose the match without anything notable happening.

Round 3 vs Wanderer Ragnora

In which we have a long battle that ends with me disconnecting. The match still counts because I had practically lost by then anyway. On the bright side, Rite got played and I robbed some fun stuff.

Round 4 vs Wanderer Ragnora

In which our opponent brick P2T1 but then follows up with a boardwipe and we discover that Flying 7/3 Frenzy minions are nothing to sneer at.

After round 4 I get two rounds where I disconnect.

Round 5 vs Titan Argeon

In which to my horror after I play two Gors my opponent drops a Thunderhorn and Reaper of RNGesus makes our opponent Rage Quit. I am going to count this as a legit win because the tables were greatly in my favour.

Nothing super fun this time, the match were we played Rite was the most memey, all the others just seemed like we were playing a half bad half viable deck

Battle report:

Round 1 vs Obelysk? Ciphyron

This guy gets defeated by a Life Coiled + Divine Bonded Aurora. Felt good to do that.

Round 2 vs Wanderer Reva

We brick P1T1 We still somehow manage to make a comeback and prevent them from ramping into Wanderer. The match goes on for quite a while during which We manage to get two Prominences on board and out of the range of their Eternity Painter, Surround the enemy general from 7 sides, and eventually die to a mantra combo from Caligrapher. Was a pretty good match nonetheless, i would recommend watching this if the replays would work.

We brick T1 and our opponent threatens us with a possible T2 Wanderer. Not good…

We desperately grab the middle tile despite the obvious disadvantages in an attempt to prevent T2 wanderer. Of course that doesn’t end well for us and now we risk facing a T3 wanderer.

We miraculously manage to stop wanderer from coming out T3.

Before our death:

Round 3 vs Wanderer Ragnora

We have a tense match and end up using Divine Bond on a 7 health Celebrant to kill Wanderer. We lose when we try to escape with low health so Strategos would save us.

Round 4 vs Burn Faie

Faie burns us down with her Warbird of destruction. We try play around Fissure most of the time but get caught in a double Avalanche when we send in the big guys after Faie.

Round 5 vs Aggro Ragnora

With all do respect to my opponent, they make a lot of misplays such as almost always forgetting about my provoke minions. Nevertheless, they put up a good fight but at the end are defeated by a Divine bonded Aurora.

An early Decimus is pretty scary when your opponent is playing aggromar and you have no removal.

This deck was probably the most viable one so far. It still was a pretty fun deck though.
I really like liked Divine Bond and Ironcliffe Heart here (each individually, not the combo between them although the combo is also cool).

I took this deck on an unsanctioned match after the 5 required for the report and I actually got Scarzig to Transform! It’s a shame I didn’t get to use him though because he got removed right away.

Battle report:

Round 1 vs Bloodrage Ragnora

We get lucky T1 and pull our only P1T1 play - Circulus. After our opponent plays a Krater in a non-Wanderer Ragnora list we quickly realise we are up against a bloodrage list. This is confirmed by a T2 Quillbeast. Ilena holds on to a Dredger that Orbo left for her. Quilbeast’s rage turns him into a 10 attack monster and attacks Ilena only for her to fling the massive beast to the other side of the battlefield. The monsters master goes flying after him immediately and gets buried under a sudden Avalanche.

Unfortunately for us our story ends at this moment because I got Network issues which prevented me from finishing this match. I know I usually don’t count matches I didn’t get to see to the end but I really wanted to share this match so I made an exception here.

Round 2 vs Aggro Reva

Nothing fun happens here Flameblood, Flameblood, Killing edge, Primus fist, Phoenix Fire = dead General.

Round 3 vs Aggro Cassyva

Cassyva never thought a fissure would catch her if she stands in the middle of the Battlefield. She had to learn the hard way that she was wrong. But as we all know Aggro Cass packs as much healing as she does burn so she recovers rather quickly. Circulus gets converted by the enemy and proves to be a pesky little rascal. At the end we both end up top decking and a Daemonically Converted Spriggin paves the way to our victory.

This is the turn we got lethal. The Elyx Stormblade was a Zen’rui the we got from Orbo that got transformed with Aspect of Ego.

Round 4 vs Mantra Shidai

We joke around and have fun before we die to the all consuming flame.

This is the final board state. Hsuku was a L’kian from Orbo who got transformed via Aspect of Ego.

Round Five vs Aggro Vaath

Lots of things happen here. Notable things include Spriggin getting “promoted” to a Project Omega , Eclipse giving Vaath a scare and Enybaer saving the day by flinging Vaath in range for lethal.

Thankfully, Vaath didn’t have Plasma storm so Eclipse managed to do some work.

Envybaer lets us win this battle.

The winrate for this deck is clearly overstated, quite likely because the testing this time was done in Gold. I doubt I would get any wins with it if I would have been testing in S.

On the bright side this was the most hilarious deck for sure, if only for the funny stuff Orbo and Ego give you.
