Brome Warcrest - not sure if bug or feature

Description

After 2 years of never playing Lyonar, I recently got excited by the potentials of Brome Warcrest combined with the new cards like ‘Call to Arms’ and ‘Ironcliffe Monument’.
However about 1/10 times I use Brome’s bloodborn spell to summon a 1/2 minion with ‘Zeal = provoke’ nearby. It just wont summon anything. Cost goes, animation happens… no unit :frowning:

I know coding could be off, I think I remember this happened with Songhai’s Reva’s Bloodborn (originally it was a random position, which would sometimes just not summon because the summon square already had a unit on it, then they fixed it so it would at least attempt to resummon in an empty space, then they ended up changing it later anyway to choose but anyway…)

Thought this was the same bug… but then couldn’t find anything on it so maybe it’s meant to be like this? Sometimes you just luck out?
Or is it just me?

I had a similar problem with Brome’s BBS recently: whenever Brome would use his BBS it would apparently summon an invisible Crestfallen and I would be unable to control it or any other minions for the rest of the match. I solved the problem by clicking the “repair” button on the client and redownloading Duelyst, perhaps it can solve your problem too.

You could also have a unit infront of you.

Solved!
Did not read properly and just assumed it was same as other generals that summon minions on random unoccupied spaces.
Turns out it only summons to the one tile directly in front of your general!
Not sure whether to delete my stupid question or to leave it in case there are other people as foolish and easily dumbfounded as I apparently am…?
