Boss Battle: AlaBOSSter Titan (The Zane Babysitting Adventure)

image
Welcome everyone to this week’s boss battle. This time, you’ll be squaring off with the mighty AlaBOSSter Titan! He’s ready to settle things one on one, mono a mono. There’s just one small problem…

This is Zane. Zane is a strong independent minion who don’t take orders from no one! Can you blame him? C’mon, he’s a 0 mana 3/20! The thing is, Zane probably should have someone give him orders because he is prone to making bad choices. He will behave like any Battle Pet, getting into scuffles wherever they may be.

So on top of dealing with the titan overlord, you also have to play babysitter so that Zane doesn’t kill himself. Failure to protect Zane will ruin your babysitting reputation so much that you will be forced to kill yourself on the spot, for you can never show your face in the babysitting world again!

So how do you beat this boss? Well, using minions won’t be easy. Every time AlaBOSSter Titan damages an enemy, all of your other minions take equal damage, including Zane. That means you might be better off avoiding the boss at all times, which is made easier by the fact that he can’t move. It could also help if you could find a way to put Zane in timeout somehow.

If you defeat AlaBOSSter Titan and keep Zane from committing sepukku, you will receive a Boss Crate and the Babysitter of the Week Award! Now if only we could stop all battle pets from killing themselves.

Easiest way: Play Synaptic Arbitrage.

Great write up

Does that actually work?

Yes it does. Give the cursed fool to your enemy. Brilliant.

kinematic projection sounds interesting too.

Do transforms (aspects) work similarly?

Happy cake day @alplod!
I just tested, yes you can also simply transform Zane with an Aspect.

Nice.

I believe that is the way I did it last time. Echoing Shriek works too IIRC.

Sorry for my voice, I still sound pretty sick. Got worse towards the end of the video.

IGNORE THIS POST lol
Am I crazy, stupid, or is there some sort of glitch?
First, Zane moves an extra space even though there’s no text saying he should.
Second, and more annoyingly, he randomly kills himself!
I was playing Magmar and gave him Blood Rage, then he instantly died and killed me. And that wasn’t the only time.
I realize I can transform him with an aspect or play burn, but I’m curious.
Are there rules to this boss fight that I’m missing? Pls and thank you.

Zane can indeed move an extra space than usual. I expect it isn’t in his card text because it is already pretty full, although it wouldn’t be the first time movement modifiers aren’t documented in boss battles.

Him killing himself when you Bloodrage him is likely do to you raising his attack above 6, as stated in his card text.

Ooohh I’m dumb.
I miss read that for some reason. Thanks.

Easy win with burn/arcanyst Faie. Burn takes care of artifacts, while over 9000 health Arcanysts just don’t die, even though everyone is damaged.

And my Zane became a bear :stuck_out_tongue:

Forgot to say, Dagona resets Zane’s health when spitting him out, but that’s not very budget)
