This is less of a bug report and more of an opinion. I really miss seing backgrounds while playing on an iphone. I think the game needs more condensed backgrounds with a little bit of the world visible here and there. Currently the game just crops all of that out and you end up with just a bunch of forground that looks very boring.

Unless they scale the background to be extremely small compared to the board, that seems pretty unfeasable with the limitations of the board (screen size) and all 
I’m talking about making new art that has some “set elements” to break the monotony of a flat featurless board. I havent been able to get past the counterplay logo for a week anyway. So I havent had the opportunity to let it bother me anyway.
Take the hearthstone board for example
You really can’t compare Hearthstone’s board to Duelyst’s, theirs requires so much less space. Anything on the board itself would be annoying, forcing the players to discern minions from board color, and there simply isn’t room for anything outside of the board unless you’re playing on an iPad or something.
I see your point, but I’d like to point out one crucial idea; the difference in cards on board (or as I like to call it: system stress). Taking into account that Duelyst has a larger game board that also has animated cards, passive animations (the floating sparkles or rain), and card interaction animations means that the system (whether on mobile or pc) would be stressed more than a game of hearthstone that usually has less than 10 cards on board at any given time. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love CP to implement more backgrounds, but I’d rather keep gameplay quality up than sacrifice it for more lore.
There’s definitely a better solution than just cropping the pc version. It looks so cheap.
Ken that not always the normal background? I mean, I’ve seen backgrounds where it’s extended, but I always considered it a buyable background thing rather than normal
Backgrounds like this even when I’m on pc. Is this normal or a bug?
