[UPDATED] Patch 1.89 - Bug Thread

Worse, bugs have been fixed without official communication, see the division drop issue. I suspect some players have not been playing because they think the bug is still there.

Frankly, this light approach to bugs is surprising for an online game with a community of the size of this one. Sometimes it seems CPG is doing her best to make players complain and with a good reason.

No worries, you guys should feel free to ping me on here (or anywhere) as a resource of information. I’ll do my best to give as many details as I possibly can in a given scenario. You know, within reason, sometimes you’ll have to settle for the good old developer soon™


So what I’ve heard internally is that everything not related to the division drop should hopefully be addressed by the next patch (no public eta on that yet). Development takes time, and we’re taking precautions so that this won’t happen again meaning it’s not an over-night or a week-long thing.

We have a long list of items we need to go through, and it’s growing every day thanks to the reports you guys provide in threads like this one.

Thanks for the feedback! We would definitely like to inform players about high-level bugs on our social media, unforuntately due to the timing nature of the Rank Division bug (occurring at the same time I was out at PAX West, and fixed before I got back), I couldn’t make any comments or updates on that subject. (Sorry guys! This one is on me, I need to find a better way to keep you guys updated when I’m “out of the office”)

Also, just because (mis)information can spread rapidly, I’d appreciate not making quotes on things we haven’t made mention such as “before the end of this month.” While we try to be as open as we can with our community, putting words in our mouths actively works against us :upside_down_face:

:thinking: Maybe it’s just me, but I do believe “next patch” is a future date. We have the future date in mind, but it’s not ready for a public announcement.

In that sense, you could deduct that this an announcement to an announcement about a previous announcement :stuck_out_tongue:

Although I suppose you can interpret that how you may. (Unless you’re trolling me, are you trolling me? Sorry my internet sarcasm radar is a little off today)

I have two issues to report. Wondering if they are bugs or working as intended?

Boulder Breacher’s effect doesn’t affect enemy minions that are spawned after Breacher hits the field, e.g. via Dying Wish. Had this happening to me with a Fenrir Warmaster. Grimes, Vorpal Reaver and Ancient Grove probably have the same issue. Bug? I mean, it’s clearly not what is stated on the card.

Ghoulie counts as a minion of every tribe, right? So when I summon it, it should count toward my number of Golems summoned. In Vetruvian I should get an additional Golem for Sirocco, but I didn’t. Is this correct?

I was simply hoping for a date, something you can write on a calendar.

Devs usually have planned dates attached to their sprints, they know when they deliver, test, release etc.

Sun Seer has a spelling error: heath instead of health (I was searching for it specifically and typed ‘heal’).

I’ve had many instances of this bug from typing cryp and not finding cryptographer but cry works to one time trying to find skorn and not finding skorn but finding it off blistering (but I’m not remembering if this one was in game)

These aren’t bugs imo.

Boulder breacher is just another instance of bad card wording. When he comes into play he is applying a debuff to everything on board at that point, that debuff is preventing everything from counterattacking. You can actually see that debuff when going on an enemy minion with your cursor, it’s displayed there just like buffs are. Considering this way of working it’s obvious that it can’t work on minions spawned later on.

Ghoulie is imo also correct. He has the ability to count as every tribe, but this ability is only active while he is in play. They way i see it he isn’t a Golem when you cast him, he only becomes one once he hit’s the board and his ability activates. That’s also why you can’t get him from Conjurer or other tutor effects.

So the ghoulie interaction isn’t right, as you can use golem meturgallist to cheat out ghoulie, and as such his effect is working not on the board. IDK why it doesn’t interact with sorocco tho.

Another strange one is EMP and meturgallist. I haven’t had the perfect board state to try it, but Emp dispels on Opening Gambit, so he dispels golem meturgallist before summoning himself costing 7 always. This happened to me on a 9 Mana turn. IDK what would happen if you tried it on 6 mana (as you couldn’t summon emp because his OG destroys his cheat, and takes the Mana if you have it) so he’d technically summon for 7 Mana on 6 Mana turn. IDK if it would break the game tho.

You can summon EMP with 6 mana while having metallurgist on board, but you will go into negative mana. This also applies to using 3 mana playing other cards before summoning EMP for 6 mana at the end. However the game will always say 0 mana even if you’re at negative. The only way to find out is to summon EMP for 6 mana, and then pick up a mana tile (which doesn’t give any mana).

Hi guys,

New to the forum. Hope this is the right place to post…

When my unseven warmaster summons a minion with opening gambit from my action bar, the opening gambit doesn’t trigger. E.g. the Desolater’s opening gambit of lifesteal doesn’t trigger.

Please fix if possible!

It’s working as intended. Opening Gambit only activates when the minion is summoned from the action bar

Unlike most minions, Unseven does specifically call for summoning from action bar, not putting or generic summoning (summon a copy, summon a token)

He’s referring to playing it from the action bar and not the summoning it from the action bar

End of month patch confirmed: we’re looking somewhere towards the middle of the week.

(I can’t give exact dates right now but you could make very educated guesses :wink:)

Browsing collection. When pressing the right button, segments of the button graphics appear all over the screen briefly. Windows 10 running through Steam.
