Third itteration of this deck. It is good.
It is punishing to play, but this deck is a viable diamond deck. You likely can’t climb well to top S with it and it can be countered easily. I have been having an incredible track record with it.

This is getting more and more attractive to me.
Looks good. Now run Mass Flight to make it bad.
You read my mind. As soon as I saw the deck, I was like “he should run mass flight”.
The deck is very fun and is preforming very well. I will make a few posts in “Decks working perfectly”.
Here is a teaser: After a game winning T2 play by heal ziran, I pull out a win where I do jux styling on her and bm a few turns. https://play.duelyst.com/replay?replayId=-LbsbHUHE0Xm3x3uvC1Z
Played the deck. It is really very fun and pretty effective, thx!
Celebrant seems to be underperforming for me though. Tried several options (even Zyx!), Azure herald seems to work best for me.
Azure herald is in my side board. Celebrant is better than Shiro for me personally because it allows for the explosive t2/3 you generally need to win.
Feel free to change shiro and celerbrant. Healing mystic to heal flame wreath/Feather knight is valueable, primus fist to try and buff a pre developed scarzig helps. As in most lists there is a lot of 2 drop options.
I found the 4 hp stat line to be very helpful and the 1 damage damage line also helps to tickle enemies that small amout to get scarzig off.
@nh3maser Forgot to ping you. Take a look at the Kaleos list. It is working very nicely. There is a replay in here and a few picks in decks working as intended.
Thanks! Locust in a Scarzig shell makes sense since it can make use of the same set of support cards. In the replay you posted, Locust was pretty win-more, but I’ll check out more replays in game.
Grailmaster is underrated.
And so is Bounded Lifeforce.
Aspect of Ego is super cheap synergy removal.
Second Self is a engineer’s favorite because: I said so.
Question to the pros: is Horror Buster underrated?
Burster has too much competition to be really good, also overwriting important minions such as Husks or Dying Wish stuff feels bad.
if a husk already attacked it can be fine, but yeah. Not really what you want.
Crypto -> Burster bbs is a nice way to develop a 6/6 and a 4/4 T2 while denying your opponent his mana tile
The problem is you have a chance of getting a 2/2 and a 6/6 instead.
I’d say cryonic and reinforcement are underrated but . On another note, aspect of the wyrm is really good. Lots of utility, much reach.
Aspect of Ego is very sketchy when used as removal - on average it’s maybe a slight downgrade for most targets, but it’s high variance and has the potential to lose you the game on the spot. However, it can really shine when you use it your own minions! There’s nothing like upgrading Jax Truesight into something like Vorpal Reaver.
You shouldn’t use it like you use any removal. Keep it for your own units as you say, but it cheaply wrecks the synergy of Arcanysts for example. Only use it on pivotal targets.
The only things I feel totally comfortable using it on as removal are buffed 1-drops (e.g., a Heartseeker with Killing Edge). On anything else you’re playing with fire. I guess it’s slightly better against synergy-based decks like Arcanysts, but that’s not enough of a reason to run it on its own. Targeting something like Owlbeast, your best case scenario is on par with a 1 mana cheaper Aspect of the Ravager, while your worst case scenario is facing down a Gate to the Undervault.
In which case it was hilarious and well worth playing!
I mean, I agree that the hilarious highrolls are the reason to play the card in the first place, but I prefer to be on the side benefiting from them rather than the opposite .
Really I just would like to see what decks you play that run Aspect of Ego. A few seasons ago, I played a decent amount of a deck (adapted from a list by @miguelosz) based around it. It was fun, but from what I can remember, Aspect on an enemy minion rarely worked out well for me.
Using it on 0 mana targets(eggs) always gets a rae. 5 mana shimhorn
Are you sure about this? As far as I know, it should have a 50% chance of getting Hideatsu (the other 0-mana nontoken minion). I definitely remember it working this way in the Andromeda boss fight, but haven’t tested it on ladder.
