If you want to try and somehow make that combo reliably work you’re probably better off shaving a turn, 5 Mana and Lionize off that combo. Assuming 100% perfect conditions the 20 damage using three cards over two turns should give you victory more reliably than a Lionized Ironcliffe could.

I like Lyonar, I really do. I like it mostly because it’s the most position-based faction. I love cards like Sunbound Pavise, Magnetize, and even Zeal minions in general. But they have one consistent problem: they’re weak. Their positioning strategies have become more like restrictions than actual assets where they have to be at very precise locations to reach the power level of other cards which can conveniently disregard positioning altogether.
Unfortunately, this card also seems to follow the trend. Its effect is interesting and is quite healthy for a game like Duelyst overall, but it simply won’t see play. It’s going to be incredibly cumbersome even to get a minion behind the General; such plays are extremely counterintuitive in a conventional context, especially in factions like Lyonar. This card also costs 5 mana, not at all cheap for a buff spell. And what does it give? A single keyword ability. Nothing else. How magnificent.

I’ll be trying a 2-turn otk combo with this card but it seems like it’d be a better fit in gauntlet decks. Idk, we’ll see
