For a 2 drop its effect is too strong and they have nerf minions like Jaxi from a 2/2 to 1/1 and Shroud from 2/2 to a 2/1 in past.

For record I don’t care every faction has overpowered stuff but when people talk about their faction the seem to forget their faction stuff.

Well, at least it takes damage from Generals. I think we’ll have to wait and see if this is really overpowered or not. I can’t make a solid judgment just yet.

I know you weren’t addressing to me necessarily, and it’s true what you say about talking in regard of cards from non-main factions, so personally speaking I try to do my best being objective when stating something about a faction.
The following is a digression about Dremashaper, Falcius and Sandswirl, so feel free to read or not :slight_smile: .

So, Dreamshaper…
It’s not like there cannot be 2/2 that cost 2 mana with cool effects at all, it’s not some kind of unwritten rule, plus there’s something more to consider:

  1. It functions with a specific interaction since requires another golem on the field (so in decks where you need to have enough golems to get value, which is a limit already);
  2. The faction it belongs to doesn’t really have very good card draw, so it’s filling a gap that needed to be filled (still bound to a specific archetype!);
  3. Vet is not really strong in 2 drop minions so Dreamshaper represents again a good gap filler (also is a 2/2, it really dies by anything almost).

We are talking about a faction card, of a specific tribe, Ephemeral and Jaxi are cheap neutral cards with very unique abilities that could fit in every faction, so makes sense that they nerfed them a little (although I believe Ephemeral should have become a 1/2 instead).
Mentioning Dreamshaper among the OP cards seems very wrong to me, it’s just an excellent card, yet niche and not game warping.
The other two examples you made are about two of the best cards Vet has, but calling them OP is arguable, considering their effect in the faction they belong to. I do agree that Falcius is a bit OP though, for the stats it has, perhaps it should be 3/2 or 2/3.
Falcius is that kind of strong card that is justified though, since Vet doesn’t have many other resources in the same department (removal) as good as that, that’s why EVERY Vet deck has 3 of them: it does a job that couldn’t be done by any other card. Anyway: rotation in one day, so… :frowning:

Sandswirl is kinda like Falcius in terms of gap filling, it’s also the second best (though atypical) removal Vet has, immo, and yet costs 5. If Vet would have other good removals I would totally agree on a little nerf like making it a 3/3, but at the state of things I think it’s just fine.

I don’t know if our opinions are that different, but for me OP cards are something like Holy Immolation, Lavaslasher or Zendo: cards with unbelievably unique effects, very much limiting in terms of answer, with very good quality stats, and/or spells with super quality-cost ratio. Plus you need to consider what else does every faction has at its disposal in a specific department (heal, removal, draw, etc.) in order to define a card OP.

It is somewhat subjective the line between Strong(fine l or OP(needs balancing). I am fine with some OP cards existing because they are like faction signatures and reason to play the faction.The distinction doesn’t really matter until people start complaining especially in this meta they 8 or 9 great deck from 5 out of 6 factions .

Great for buff trial deck but its health is too much.
Lyonar might have a hard time removing this minion.
Ayyeeeeeeeee

Martyrdom is a thing ya’know

when he says lyonar, he means brome

argeon has roar and ziran has plenty of indirect damage to deal with this

would this card take damage from a white widow or sunriser?

Wording assumes no.

And Flamewreath is useless also :confused:

Dispel is everything we have now, as it seems.

Or… Cyph.

im sure it would. but if it gets buffed up, that might not be the case anymore

both of those have 3 attack, which is not less than 3 (shocking i know)

but yeah. unless you mds the flamewreath its not doing damage

just think of it as quartermaster gaujs apprentice

So yet another 4 mana removal magnet in Magmar. This thing + Greater fortitude or amplification (which is actually probably usable on this guy do to that huge health bar) means waste removal or die. Heck, even dispelled 3/6 is a solid statline for a 4 drop.

This card is great but why should I play this when haruspex exists?
