Top 50s and AA on Hold

Hi Folks,

I want to give you a quick update on some of the things that you may be waiting for, specifically, Top 50 lists, and the Artificer Academy Rewards for July.

Unfortunately, my bandwidth is rather limited, and I won’t be able to knock these items out each month, until such time as I find a new set of hands to help me in the way Thanatos did.

These tasks are very time consuming, and while I’ve been struggling to get the the AA rewards out for last month, I came to the unfortunate conclusion that I would not be able to maintain the full level of service you are all accustomed to until such time as I get some more help on my team.

With that said, I want you know that we are looking for someone right now, and we should begin interviewing very soon. We’ve got some great candidates, and it’s just a matter of time until we can return to full service level.

I hope you can all understand, and bear with us while we conduct this search.

Duelyst's Artificer Academy Arrives!

I’m surprised no one else has said it, but this is kinda lame.

I mean not terribly, you know I’ll live without seeing the top 50, and I don’t stream, but it doesn’t feel great that something that’s not been a problem before has stopped, and provides more ammunition/reinforcement for people with a negative outlook on the future of the game.

Don’t want to rag on you, since I’m sure you’re working hard and whatnot, and if we had a chat I’d accept that you’re working on this or that, but I also didn’t want to see this be sort of apathetically accepted.

I understand that Duelyst probably isn’t a priority, just sad to see the handover of these responsibilities was seemingly nonexistent.

I am surprised it is not scripted. Twitch gives them all the information automatically, seems the perfect place for some scripts. But you know more about that than I do

Also agreeing with @niklaren. Especially the Top 50 Gauntlet list was important for people because there is no other way to compare each other.
And the AA rewards are important to improve the community. Most of it goes back to the viewers as giveaways or similar things (several people gave their codes to Meltdown League for giveaways) and helps to increase channels’ viewer numbers. It also offers a big incentive for new streamers. This “temporary” halt hurts. The longer it is on, the more it will do so.
But I understand the argument that @stormshade has to much on his plates, I am sure Duelyst is only one of many of his responsibilities and that’s the main difference to @ThanatosNoa. So I hope they find quickly someone to fill the position, I’d love to see someone from inside the community like @rhacker93

Again I am also surprised that the Top 50 lists are not created automatically.

There is no one better for this position, and frankly, no one who cares more about our community than our very own Rhacker93. A literal bastion of our community and a large reason we even still have a competitive scene. Working hand in hand with Rhacker in Meltdown League I can assure you their priorities are exactly where they need to be and they would make an exemplary manager of our Duelyst Community/Family.
