I finaly got to play slay the spire and must say that i REALY missed out on something. What an amazing game.
Not only are the battles themselves quite thoughtprovoking but the deckbuilding is also realy fun.
What realy impresses me though is how the 3 characters have completely different sets of cards and how many different playstyles you can end up with. This here was by far my most unique run: the invincible ironclad ghost:

Relying on a combo of 5 eventcards(make you invincible that turn but can only be used once per fight) and a relic that allows me to keep my hand. As you can tell such cards are very reliant on proper timing so usualy you have to pray that you draw them in time but with this combo i was able to time them perfectly everytime and cover all my defensive needs that way for 5 turns that i need to defend during( as said they eventually run out)

Though it forced me to change the structure of the deck alot: since these ghost-cards need to be upgraded to not dissapear from the fight when not played alot of my upgrades had to go there. I also had to get rid of expensive cards and draw cards because there is a handlimit of 10 which i at first often hit because i could not play enough cards per turn.

*the event that gives you these cards also takes away alot of your max hp

*with this deck i REALY messed up by attacking donu first. Should have killed Deca who puts up shields first since Donu"s attackbuffs where no issue with the type of defense i went for

I’d say it is for a multitude of reasons…
…leaning heavily on the probability that many of the players were in late high school or early college, which means some rather large life changes in the three years this forum has existed.
