Pretty much I prioritised EMP less than anything in the deck and only added it as I had space and I’m used to playing EMP as a 1 of that will occasionally pull me back.
The Hunting Grounds of Seraphim - General Vanar Discussion Thread
It was me, and thx.
Have made a burn Faie deck with an Arcanyst finisher. Starting aggresive, slowing down the lategame to burn hard and/or make an army of random arcanysts. Can it work? What should I substitute?
Snowstorm is me trying something new. Not too bad btw. Basically screws your opponent’s plans for a whole turn. Same as Conceiling Shroud, but with an AoE ping included.
Didn’t meet swarm yet though… Two games against Finality Vaath so far, 1-1.
Just noticed EMP screws over me… Should run some aspects probably…
Yeah, Snowstorm is pgood but it’s main use is the Ragnora matchup.
Something immeditae is the lack of Hailstone and Malcious Wisp.
I didn’t get any wisp from my orbs and too stingy to craft it Vanar is not my main faction…
Anyways, what to get rid of?
The card is just so good that it’s worth it.
-Shroud
-Well
-Minos
-CCold
-Eyolith
-Snowstorm
are all potential things you can cut.
Also
+2 Hunt
Thx.
I don’t have much draw problems though having Mentor, Conjurer and cantripping corona , so I think 2 hunts is too much, I’d play 1.
Other than that, I’ll definitely try Wisp as soon as I get one. It is a good card overall, but it’s even more awesome in burn decks.
I actually hate it when people refer hunt to as a draw engine, it is not, it is an infinite value generator that summons an infinite amount of minions while not using a single card.
The amount you run is based on the amount of minions you play.
Let’s argue about that.
If your hand is full you really need to get rid of smth for Conjurer or Mentor to work. Hunt doesn’t allow that.
Hand size management then, if not draw.
Yeah, I have the same problem with drawing it with Conjurer but sometimes that is what your hands need and the time you don’t have conjurer this card is very useful.
@epicflygon Help me out! This is the latest update to my deck, and I’m looking for further improvements. The main problem I have so far is the lack of 2 drops.
If you find this a problem then I don’t know if you’re a sane human being.
The list is solid but Basilysk/EMP/Frostburn for Embla is probably correct.
Then it’s just my own problem I suppose. I’m the guy who never draws Cleric or Sanctify when playing Zir’an. I wish I was joking.
What do you mean? Should I replace a set of one of those cards with a set of Embla?
Yes, yes it is.
It’s not even that I always draw my turn 1 plays, I just never care if I skip it because I can slow my opponent down to the point where I roll them in the late-game.
Any amount of Embla is fine, it’s just a really solid wincon.
Alright. Thanks!
Positioning is everything!
Vanar mirror-match featuring two major board state reliant spells that decided the game.
Below is the deck I was using which I feel is fairly budget-friendly with mostly commons.
