State of Vanar, Volume III: Faction Identity & My Wishes

Don’t play it right now, play it when they fix the fuck up that is the new time on round rules.

One of my biggest gripes with Vanar is how they design cards like the Dredger and Wanderlust which purposefully have anti synergy with Infiltrate. Not only would infiltrate gain more support, but I would rather have more cards deigned to have synergy with numerous infiltrate cards than having cards designed around a single spell (avalanche) that’s designed to punish opponents for not playing into infiltrate.

At the very least, I would prefer if the Dredger teleported enemies to their side of the battlefield. That way, wanderlust could act as pseudo removal to get enemy minions out of the way, Avalanche could be used to punish enemies for escaping onto your side of the field, and infiltrate cards like Rhino or Ambush could be much more threatening.

Oh boy, a lot of these are completely broken.

I focused too much on thematics and I forgot some of the synergy so hold on while I errata them.

I’m curious when the next expansion will be, its possible that the devs are still early in enough in the design phase to release some support for Vanar.

Alright so here’s my stuff:

A Vanar Mythron… but wait! it’s a spell focused on board manipulation of all things

The Vanar equivalent to Geomancer that would be amazing support for the above idea, or still amazing on its own

A hybrid of Eternity Painter and Makantor Warbeast with Stun support

I have been busy so I wasn’t able to errata them recently.

Dunno if we’re still submitting card ideas but…
