What to change to make this deck S-viable?(too afraid to play this on ladder)
To explain the weird rebirth:
Consuming rebirth synergy with mindlathe, klaxon and desolator is real
Obltarate deckhelp
to make it s-rank viable you should probably cut shadow nova, rebirth, darkspine, and crawler and add in phantasm, third desolator and thunderhorn, void pulse, maybe ephemeral shroud or dioltas to help anwser things and stall. maybe swap out the mindlathes for ghost azaleas

Here you go, for better viewing.
Also, don’t have much knowledge of aggro cass other than constantly facing it as midrange songhai on ladder. Orano’s suggestions are pretty good.
this is what i personally use, though it could probably use some tweaks. its a variant on one of deathsadvocates lists
Whats in your opinion a good replacement for ooz?Im conflicted between crawler and darkspine…dont want to run battlepets while thunderhorn is meta
Isnt 6 2 drops without ANY 3 drops a troublesome curve(you cant just play tiger on curve)?
How do you deal with azure summoning without grasp of agony?
I imagine that since you are stalling for late game with this deck, there is no point in establishing a board and therefore having a curve is not necessary. You just want to keep your opponent’s board relatively cleared using spells and artifacts until you have the cards you need to finish them off via revenant or obliterate.
Correct me if I’m wrong though @oranos, I don’t know a lot about the faction, but am extremely curious to learn. Also a question, if oblierate is finisher for this deck, why not run 2? Not running 3 makes sense, but only 1 kinda makes it unreliable don’t you think?
maybe something like this
this is just something i threw together
and nowadays obliterate is more of a backup plan where phantasmed revenants is the actual game plan
That was not supposed to be disrespectfull…just real concern about things that i may not understand…thanks for the lists
It seems like buffed up rush is the only thing abyssian is realy meta with right now:( ?
Abyssian has nothing vs wallnar and azure vet except phantasm and grasp
Nova, which makes the juggernauts and oblitarates actual finishers,is to slow
It seems like if i try a midrange deck without rush songhai is just better … to replace juggernauts hamon doesnt need setup, costs only 1 mana more, doesnt get *** by dispell and is in a faction that has better mobility and zendo for potential 16 damage on curve if hamon is not answered(juxta to get hamon into position for the first strike)
The cheapter and better mobility+zendo also make thunderhorn much more effective
Oblitarate is,as you pointed out,nolonger a wincon
I dont like phantasm and very aggresive decks(control player)…so i guess i should not play abyssian S because controlish abyssian is nolonger a powerfull deck ?
If you are talking to me, I took no offense to anything you said so no worries. As for what you said about Songhai, yep that’s pretty correct. Abyssian is really S-rank if its aggro with desolator otherwise Songhai does it better. If you want a control deck go towards hyper swarm Lilithe maybe? Or you could just do dailies and save up gold for the new expansion since the current meta is gonna go away by mid-November anyways.
I was talking to oranos …because i may criticized his deck too much without giving credit
the first list i put up is actually quite control-y since basically everyone does everything they can to remove phantasm or just not play minions it helps a lot. you can tinker around with grasp instead of blade but thunderhorn + lure or nethermeld do wonders against large groups
and i dont take offence. i was leisurely strolling through gold with that deck and since metas between ranks change it needs a bit of tweaking to get through diamond and up to S-rank
and apart from tigers and MAYBE sentinels. cassyva does not need ANY 3 drops. unless you are trying some weird stuff
I play a control-ish Cassyva deck which does not abuse Phantasm. It’s very strong and I can easily pilot it to Diamond, though this month I’m lagging behind due to real life business and some experimental deck attempts. I shared the list on the forums, feel free to add me in game to have a look and I can share it again
Here is what I run, as for worrying about ooze and thunderhorn, you really shouldent. Outside of vanar it doesn’t see a lot of play, and Ooze is there to be a good opener, its almost always replaced past the four mana turn.
As for the lack of “two” drops, not only is this a lategame deck that doesent care about its early board, but typicaly you want nine turn one plays, and this deck has exactly that with ooze, phantasm, and sphere of darkness. And you can play tiger on curve if there is an early game threat like phantasm, circulus, or anything with one attack.
Azure summoning helped shape my deck, yea I skipped grasp, but that is made up for with thunderhorn+nether/whip, and shadow nova. Shadow nova is also really important aoe that deals with walls, swarm, and tiles, while also making your lategame really scary. Nova is in the deck instead of grasp, and crawler.
Its a bit too gimmick based on the meta at the moment cut darkspine rebirth also see the cards you personally prefere also since your playing the slow version and you run out of cards early get ride of the undervault(forgot the name)
