I’d say, get rid of Beastlands, add Mandrake instead, hm?

Also, I see little to no reason to play Rag without Fortitude. Starhorn seems much more promising for me here all in all.

Moloki is not very good with too few cards to combo with him. Grow shenanigans are also the reason why I use Rag, since Moloki + Beastlands is scary with Rippers (also buffs the eggs as a nice bonus). Spelljammer is easily enough draw for the deck since unlike traditional Zoo decks the curve is more midrange than aggro. Mandrake though could be good in a more “all-in” approach without grow support.

10/10 would name again. Deceptively good deck. Nice job.

I prefer Verdant over Beastlands a lot. Ever played 2 Verdants in a row?

Yeah I mainly wanted to meme more with Nature’s Confluence, which is why I went with Beastlands. The other benefit is that you can play Beastlands even when you only have very few minions out.

So I have been playing grow more than any deck this year. I agree with your badlands inclusion. I am looking how to add it to my grow decks.

If you look at pure numbers you get the same amount of tiles when you have 4 minions on board. In that regard Beastlands is better.

Beastlands can also be played on an empty board in preparation for another turn (though I find that pretty weak and it forces you to a certain position on board).

You can play Verdant already earlier than with 4 minions though, it is worth if you have either a Moloki or Oropsi on board with 1-2 other minions. A big advantage is its flexibility in regards to positioning.

And it is way better to have 2 Verdants than to have 2 Beastlands in hand imo.

Therefore I find Verdants better all in all, though kinda depending on the situation.

Could not have said it better myelf.

Beastlands:
Advantages: Can be played on an empty board to setup molokoi and oropisaur turns, works well with pet confluence, costs 1 mana less.CAN REMOVE ZIRAN HEAL TILES AND POOP TiLES.
Disadvantages: Pretty bad when your minions are spread. This is especially noticable with how you body block your eggs as ragnora.

Verdant.
Advantages: Works well with wide spread minions and once you have popped off with progenitor. GROW MINIONS ON GROW TILES. This can allow some minions to grow and some more tiles to be created. Not to mention it being played twice for the #Value.
Distadvantages: Useless with an empty board. A bit pricey if you don’t have a developed board. Cannot Makantor + this.

With this deck, I quite often got a full Beastlands at 5 mana with a “leftover” minion from the previous turn such as Mantella and a 1-mana pet in the front, and Moloki and Ripper egg in the back. Pets move so unpredictably that I really liked the ability to position my grow tiles where I want them. But you’re right that Fulmination is probably slightly better choice for most other decks.

Natures conflunce + molok on a developed badlands tile is incredible

You didn’t read patch notes, did you?

Both cards cost 3 mana since 1.96.

So you can do Makantor + Verdant.

The mana cost change was important, otherwise the card was just too expensive.

If you don’t play the Beastlands the turn before but on the same turn for 8 mana Verdant gives you 1 more tile.

A naked Beastlands is really slow. It is almost like Shadow Nova.

Been testing a lot of decks (mainly Lyonar), nothing much yet that would hit the soft spot between memery and playability. I feel like I’ve become a bit pickier about the decks I post over the years… :stuck_out_tongue:

That is the ultimate struggle. How do I shtpost… but be good at shtposting? Almost an oxymoron.

On a more serious note, there’s nothing inconsistent about wanting your memes be playable. Dat Dank Hart Gargantuan Growth deck may look fun on paper, but no one’s going to stay sane playing that thing all day long against whatever “cancer of the month happens” to be popular in the rank you’re at. If you take a look at my decks, I always include a winrate which tends to be 60+ % for the decks I put more effort into (mostly in Silver/Gold so they’re obviously not tier 1-2 material, but this easily achieves my goal of the decks being useable not just on paper).

Tldr: I like to build fun, original decks and actually ladder with them with a convenient enough winrate.

That about sums it up for me dude. I don’t wanna suffer the grind, just make some hotness.

Heal Strategos

Here’s a derpy deck I’ve had a fine amount of success with lately. Basically it’s a version of Strategos suited for Ziran, maximizing the heal synergies memery while still being able to get Strategos out most of the games. Lancer and Sunriser give enough juice for heal payoffs, which come from the obvious sources of Herald, Sunrise Cleric and Trinity Oath, as well as Araras Prophet which finally has a (somewhat) reasonable argument for her inclusion in a deck. Plumes can be really terrifying for example with Sunriser + bbs + Plume on 5 mana what do you mean you never get those Plumes out, just draw better smh Since most games end with Strategos, all that extra healing doesn’t hurt to have against the more aggressive decks.

Jax Truesight, Zyx and Dreamgazer are the usual Strategos inclusions (and Gazer hurts us as well) Impervious Giago doubles as a small proc for the trial, great heal target and generally just a big boi which people don’t usually expect or reserve removal for. Decorated Enlistee on the other hand is really just there for the lolz, and to confuse people who don’t realize what his effect does.

Wr was 11-4 (73 %) in Diamond/Gold.

Oh, and one important thing considering this deck is that post-trial, when you’re standing with a damaged Ziran on a heal tile, the promotion happens before the heal effect procs. So for example if you play Lancer you won’t get an attack boost at the end of turn, but if it promotes to a Sunriser or Sterope their effects will trigger from the tile.

i absolutely love discoverable interactions. thanks for the enlightenment. also, was shroud VERY important or more of a flex pick?

It’s pretty good in general in Strategos, but could be swapped for Lightbender or Martyrdom I guess

Personally I’d ditch Zyx for Sarlac and utilize better removal other than Shroud ie LBD you mentioned, or even Sun Bloom. Hell, no one plays around Sun Bloom. Not a single soul I have met at least.
