Isn’t Magmar good against Broke? They have so much AoE that I guess they can always keep the board cleared.
Or am I missing something? I didn’t have much time to play since the release

actually, plasma is the only thing that can wipe the board, so even magmar isnt that good. Well, makantor also, but that can be played around

Play Sajj, play Thunderhorn, play Magmar, play Aggro. There are lots of options to beat Brome.

I wish i could figure out a way to beat him with abyss… Is Night fiend stan…No it isnt. Breath is too low dmg, gnasher…Unlimited… Cpg, why no boardclears for poor abyss, well, except grasp

Aggro and Burn destroys Strategos Brome. The deck lacks solid healing and unless he has the dream opening hand you will burn him out before Strategos gathers steam.

Those are also terrible terrible cards so that’s not really an ideal answer now is it.
Also actually does nothing against good players.
I believe this could directly be a counter. You go head to head with Brome in the early stages but swarming out 2 drops. You drop Q on 6 mana (usually never flash it out, but could be worth it against Brome), then aim to play Decimus Spikes on 7 mana. Even if you don’t get Decimus in time for 7 mana you’ll have discarded a lot of Brome minions out of his deck and thinned your own to pretty much your own wincon with any left of Q’s, Warbeasts, Flash and Brillant Plumes.
Haven’t played the deck against Brome himself, but the deck worked pre-expansion and also worked post expansion. As long as you have Q, Decimus, Spikes, you can fill the rest of the deck with 2 drops if you wanted instead of having other things like Flash and Warbeast which don’t get removed post Q. I won’t be able to answer any questions since I’ll be away for the next day or so, once this is posted.

Actually I believe Gate is good counter for him since he doesn’t run hard removal.

Dunno, I usually used Lilithe, but I haven’t tested any gate decks in this meta.

Still, Gate could be a counter to him.
Your best options would probably be either Magmar (plethora of AoE) or midrange Songhai/Kaleos (assassin protocol with thunderhorn, flamewreath, EMP). The latter deck overall seems to be a good deck to combat a lot of the Mythron decks going around.

a fast hate furnace deck does the trick, though if they remove certain interactions I don’t think it would be consistent or quick enough any longer

I officially announce that @beelakor’s Swarm Queen Lilithe is very good against Brome while also being good overall.
Just replace 3xGrimwar with 3xGrasp of Agony. It’s not my idea, it’s his and it works so well…

I do also test a version with Lady Locke and Bastion (to avoid rebuke and live longer and prosper). Could be smth good, too.
Rush seems to work pretty well. It goes especially well when you use ghost seraphim and Sotw
