More like got to diamond so I would stop calling you hardstuck
Just started playing and
Dw he still is, the power of a hard-stuck diamond is too hard for him to handle!
Hey, welcome to the Duelyst Forums! Please do not hesitate to ask any questions .
If your interested in trying out a new deck (for a relatively low investment: all commons and rares: total cost < 2000 spirit), I have a Magmar deck for you! Itâs a budget version for a Magmar Quillrage deck, composed of basic, common, and rare cards (all of which are craftable- meaning that they are not from the Ancient Bonds or Rise of the Bloodbound). The strategy is to take advantage of self-harm damage through quillbeast and blistering skorn using Blood Rage to deal massive damage. Alternatively, you have rush minions plus thumping wave (a powerful 4 mana card that gives a minion +5 attack at the expense of becoming a 3/3 battle pet (uncontrollable unit) at the end of your turn) and Mandrake to take advantage of summoning multiple minions. It is also slightly teched against aggro Cass with x2 Lava lance, and both Skorn and Quillbeast are great against wall Vanar.
You can switch some of the choices based on preference (ex: Healing Mystic vs Primus Fist, -2 Lava ance for +1 Terradon +1 Mandrake or +2 Zyx). When looking to upgrade this list, your first priority should be Makantor Warbeasts (absolute staple in Magmar). Next, you should aim to get Lavalasher and Ragebinder in Ancient Bonds, as their golem synergy is particularly strong in Magmar (especially the power of Lavaslasher in the Magmar faction by itself). With those, you should also craft Golem Metallurgist, as the reduced cost to your faction golems can make you do some nasty stuff. Finally, you can craft Kujata (although I find itâs ramp ability less than ideal unless your ramping into T2 Lavaslasher), and if Skorn isnât cutting it for you I recommend running Thunderhorn, which has many pros in this deck (pseudo AoE, strong 4 drop, synergy with Thumping wave/enemy battlepets). Below is the deck I used to hit S rank in the most recent July season. It could use some tweaking, but Iâve found it overall to be really effective against most decks, particularly against Vanar.
Have fun playing the game, but try not to rage quit too much like I did or this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8SWMAQYQf0
Recently starting as well and I never thought to do this! Lol awesome idea
i realy like the abysian idea with swarm but my cards stink right now, Im going to put in 40 usd tomorrow to buy up some needed cards, also can someone please link me a good competative abhys swarm deck that comes with maybe some info
I have a cheap af abyss list that really works (tested on a smurf account as well against isgopet) but it isnât a swarm deck so you might not like it.
Post here if you are interested
ok with 40 usd what do i buy exactly?
are the sets 20 usd per or something?
With 40 USD you can buy rise of the blood born bound and ancient bonds last time I checked.
Youâre new, so the biggest questions I see are what you already have, how much spirit you have available, how much of what you have youâre willing to invest into 1 specific archetype and/or 1 specific faction, and just how competitive youâre looking (gold vs diamond/s)
This would be a basic swarm lilithe start-
But this can lead down to a deck becoming very expensive to having something like-
Expensive
Tying back, some cards youâd get will only be useful within that archetype, while there are others not quite as synergistic, but will be playable in more archetypes (staples, such as spectral revenant)
I know @isbee and @whyb0t to be much more knowledgeable on abyssian, but this is to setup groundwork. Answering those questions above will also help for those willing to help you.
You could have picked at least people that made more than 10 matches over the past month
In the Expensive list I would use Phantasm instead of Shadow Watcher. This should make the deck more resistant to boardwipes and few creatures on board while giving good buffs to Zyx, Tiger and Revenant.
the best swarm list at the moment would be seedyâs hyper swarm https://i.imgur.com/D3RgPSl.jpg he won a tournament recenty with that and his swarm vetruvian deck, a vod of that with commentary over the matches can be found here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/174593923
I donât know of other abyssian mains.
@beelakor, I would put phantasm in too, but phantasm isnât really swarm oriented. Was trying to fit to the requested archetype.
You can try player ID loveduelyst which only play Abyssian (and got 20 ribbons, if it means anything).
I know
Actually it was a combination of pure luck and very bad AI, Xel casting a SpecRev and didnât attack with it, would have killed him. And it was after 19 tries, not 8 as stated in first post
But still, itâs brave to try with a starter deck. Was so impressive when I read it, I wanted to see that display of skill
I havenât changed my main Abyssian deck in monthsâŚbut it is a decently solid deck that covers most of the basic concepts of Abyss wincons.
Lol, but yeahâŚI am not current.
I can help a bit with Abyss builds if you like, Iâve mained Abyssian for almost a year IGN is the same as here.
