HELP 1st Abyssian Swarm Deck

Hi guys,

I’ve been playing for almost a month now and have taken a liking to Abyssian cause of the swarm strategy. This is my first deck. Feel free to suggest.

NOTE:They didn’t have shadow stalk so just add 2 of those

Hello!

First of all, here’s an updated deckbuilder so you can check out some new cards -
http://www.bagoum.com/deckbuilder

Specifically, you’ll be interested in -

*card cycling options that help you have more options

Inkling Surge
Sphere of Darkness

*more swarm power

Zyx
Bloodbound Mentor

*swarm pay-off

Furor Chakram
Deathfire Crescendo (legendary)
Soul Grimwar (legendary)

You’ll probably want to think about how well cards such as Deepfire Devourer, Shadow Watcher and Gor perform for you, and think about maybe removing some of those from the deck.

This is a budget swarm list that isn’t far off what you are playing.

Bloodtear Alchemist is just miles better than Abyssal Crawler as he has imediate impact on the Board when you play him. Nobody steps on those creep tiles when it isn’t already over for you.
Cryptographer should be played in a full set. It is that good with Furiosa.

Shadow Watcher is very effective, but sometimes he just gets dispelled. Saberspine Tiger has instant value even after his nerf to 4 mana. He really likes Chakram and Soulshatter Pact.

Deepfire Devourer has the same Problem as Shadowwatcher, but sometimes is even worse. You often sacrifice a lot for a minion that can be dispelled or killed by just one spell.

I added Furor Chakram because it is the best Swarm buff Abyssan has a t the moment. You shouldn’t really use your face with it though.

If you feel fancy you might even implement a recent idea from @cloudfrog. He really liked the interaction between frenzy that gets handed to your minions by Furor Chakram and the ability of flying minions to get the most of its whirlwind attack pattern. This might a bit more costly in spirit but I hope this budget Flying Furor deck suits your taste:

Both decks are a very rough draft that isn’t tested yet. But I guarantee you it is a ton of fun to play it.

Might want to add some ritual banishings. Replace the 5 mana spell for 3 of them and whatever you do STAY AWAY FROM HIGH GOLD AND UP. Magmar’s been powerful recently and with how well they counter swarm, you’d be better off not playing this up there.

Ritual Banishings are the next step. I dunno how much sprit the OP has left though.

They’re rare so they shouldn’t cost much.

They are correct about removing abyssal crawler. You also probably can either take out Gor, or just reduce it down to a x2; you don’t have much need in having 3 of them. Overall solid start. Bloodtide Priestess is an old standard swarm card that’s fun to play as well. Nice job and good luck on continuing

Looks pretty good except for Abyssal Crawler! Replace with Bloodtear or Zyx.

As you get more spirit, look to replace Shadow Watcher, Deepfire Devourer with Deathfire Crescendo and/or Grimwar, and Dark Transformation with Ritual Banishing (although it’s often unnecessary in a swarm list as fast as this)

Gor is a fun card but also just too far out of the meta right now.

Here is my recommendation for a budget swarm list:

First expensive things you will want to craft to improve it are Soul Grimwar, and if you like Abyssian, Desolator is a very high craft priority since it goes in most decks.

From there decide on what direction you want to go, here are my latest abyss threads, not a whole lot of swarm stuff but there is certainly some:
