I second that. Card names should not be changed.
Why?
If a person plays the game in German language, maybe because not speaking English that well - just to make it easier a bit to play, but likes looking streams, looking at guides or follows discussions in the forums. This person would be totally confused when cards have other names.

That’s what I mean whith saying “not translating proper names” (while not knowing if “proper names” is the right english word tbh ). I count card names and faction names under this category.

Do NOT translate card names. This is a pain in the ass! Most wikis and other content on the web referes to the english items, cards or characters. If you need information about them, you don’t know the proper english name. For finding the right item you always need to re-translate… and that is bullshit.

For example, what’s the real item name of “Luftportal”? There are several possibilities. I would choose to search for the card icon in this case.

I’d really recomment to rename Vanar into: “Clan der Vanar” or “Vanar-Clan”. “Sippe” is literally never used in a video game. And “Horde” is reserved by World of Warcraft I’d name them: “Abyssianischer Schwarm” (that’s not really reserved by the Zerg in SCII ;)).

While I’m not sure about reverting the names of all the minions, those two suggestions about Vanar and Abyssian are certainly helpful.
Personally I was also a bit reticent about “Horde” being used. It should have been more Zerg, less Horde
