everyone saying this is bad or worse than naga :vetwut:

but nobody thinks how powerful airdrop is in this situation

you can deal damage to all things like naga. but you DONT have to take damage on your face or minions to use it. as well as being able to completly bypass things like distance or body blocking. and even then the downside of pinging for less only happens the first time you use it. after that its just straight up better naga. if you manage to summon it a 4th time its basically a neutral makantor.

it’s almost like they caught up with my abyssian otk shennanigans. first that skorn powercreep and now naga WITH airdrop. that, or they really just hate abyssian. maybe it’s time to build a new deck… make a magmar thing + this… or deathwatch + this…

I have very conflicting feelings about this card. One more card to the 30-something pile of cards that destroy swarm Lili, but at the same time a card that can be satisfyingly revived…

It doesn’t actually matter if they added just another card to destroy wraithlings. You still can’t put them all in your deck.

Actually you can (to some extent ofc) but that’s also a meme on its own so yeah :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think this card is particularly bad, especially with it’s airdrop ability. The fact that it deals damage to everything around it could also be a plus for decks that benefit off of self-harm (ex: Bloodrage - you can ideally use Riftwalker to damage a bunch of units (other than one of your weaker minions like Ripper) and then follow up with a Blood Rage)

The scariest thing is when you use Riftwalker not only with Consuming rebirth, but also with Blood echoes and Zurael.

Riftwalker … with random respawn… run that through your head.

Don’t forget possible intensify counts through Keeper

normal intensify count: 3
Rebirth: 6
Keeper: 9
Echoes: 12-15
Zurael: 18-21

Just imagine HALF of that damage from intensified Riftwalkers popping up randomly. This is Russian Roulette at its finest. My final Conclusion is that Riftwalker has potential for an excellent meme

Dont dare to use Nether Summoning with Riftwalker… nobody should be so suicidal

Ready to be proven wrong, but the important thing is that we agree this is a meme!

I really hope we can make this more than just a meme. But it is very promising!

Mark my words, one day I will kill my opponent with just Riftwalker…

1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28 so you need to summon it 7 times. Looking forward to that deck tech!

I guess you could do it with Abyssian? 3x Riftwalker, 3x Consuming Rebirth and 1x Blood Echoes or Nether Summoning with a lucky spawn?

You seem to underestimate RNG my friend…

If you have summoned Riftwalker that many times, the chances are quite high to get it from a Keeper. Which could make it a lot easier to get to the desired damage output.

At some point it will rival or overshadow makantor.

Dropping this + Consuming Rebirth can give you a 4/4 and 3,5,7,… damage for 6 mana. That’s a lot stronger than 2 drop immolate, but far less flexible. Maybe it can be played in Abyssian Intensity memes, but trying to combo with more than one intensity minion might spread your resources out too thin.

This is the first thing anyone’s said about this card that’s got my attention. A three-damage AoE bomb for six that leaves a 4/4 behind sounds quite solid. The odds of getting a second combo off in the same game aren’t good, but if you can work a standalone riftwalker into an earlier turn, then you can do this for five. I might try this out some kind of Abyssian thing. Something with good dying wishes. Hmmm…here’s hoping Maehv gets some solid cards this time around. Scratch that, a lot of solid cards, something’s gotta replace gnasher.

Not that I’m gonna hold my breath on that. If I were a betting man, I’d bet on the current weakest generals remaining weak. Prove me wrong, Counterplay.

Reminds me of Dota’s Enigma.
