Expansion Spoiler Day Seven - Mortar Maw
I know, I know, I hate Magmar…
But this card is sick. Everything about it is awesome. The art is incredible, the animation is jaw-dropping, the effect is creative and useful, the stats and mana cost are reasonable, I can’t wait to play it.
Probably won’t be meta and will likely eat removal, but it’s so cool and looks fun.

I personally don’t think this card will be a staple nor will it be competitive compared to Magmar’s other options for 5 mana mainly because Magmar is so slow that every minion they put down on the board has to either be really sticky or have an immediate effect and just the fact that you have to wait a turn for something that only has 4 HP doesn’t tell me anything good about this card.
Still, with Magmar, you can never be too sure, especially with that insidious SIbon character on the dev team.
If I ever played midrange magmar though, this card seems like it would be fun to play around with if you can get the card to survive a turn.

Oh hey, Magmar got a discount Starfire Scarab, the Scarab’s still cooler though
It’s like if charizard were also blastoise kinda. Cpg wishes magmar a happy duel year.

Yea the laser cannon scarab is still best artillery, right behind the solar kind, and by discount I’m sarcastically saying it’s a lesser scarab in that both have similar purposes, costs and stats, it’s a joke.
Cool card! The art is badass, and the effect is even more so. It’s kind of depressing that this dies to the Lava Lance/Lucent Beam/Cryogenesis line, but still pretty awesome.
Isn’t Lava Lance being rotated out though?

Apparently you guys don’t get it because whole bunch of people had a hissy fit at Krater.I think the message is fully reenforced now but these cards aren’t only made for the present ,the next year will have a rotation that should take out sets and cards will need to be replaced.
Also Vetruvian has 4 blast minions,1 blast artifact and 1 blast spell.They don’t need range minions.
ikr why magmar gotta get all the good stuff. so you know what? i’ll just be a magmar guy this expansion

I already decided to start Magmar ever since Haruspex was announced. Just throw that in with some Warbeasts and Lavaslashers, and my laddering deck is set.
