That would mess with The Releaser though.
Sphere is always a more costly alternative if you burn your hand too quickly.

I have thought a lot about how to push more Shadow Creep, but sadly the only way to that is through minions which as @humancalc noted, messes with the RNG of Releaser quite a bit. I desperately wanted to add Ooz tbh as it is the best of the three(with releaser in mind).
Inkhorn(purely as replace fodder) and Sphere were top of the list to counteract that T1 deficit. Spectral Blade was also a consideration as healing helps cover some distance.
@humancalc Sphere was pretty up there for the T1 mana bleed but I found unless you go second on T1,you can’t use it. Unfortunately the same goes for Inkhorn… I figured atleast there’s nothing to lose with Pluck. You don’t lose much by dropping pluck either though. Will test some more though. I haven’t had terrible luck keeping my hand up but perhaps the extra draw will be better than the 2-3 Creep you get from Pluck.
Ofc, forgot about Releaser I guess Pluck is ok then (although indeed not great). I use Spectral Blade in most my Abyss Keeper decks, it’s a pretty nice p1t1 play (which you currently have none since I wouldn’t really count Pluck when you can cast it with any spare mana).
Just threw Spectral in there and it does make a difference if you get it. I took out the Inkhorns. Probs gonna remove a Rebirth for the 3rd.
You better not cry. You better watch out, my dudes this is why. What’s up. Hope you’re getting into the spirit of Christmas cause I got a ho ho hell of a deck here full of cheer.
This deck is as much about giving as this time of year is. Share the love and give the gift of pain as you draw and play surprises you didn’t know you where getting this year. An odd Grow/Draw deck that really brings an odd mixture of combos. Triple down on awesome Hsuku keywords with Fractal. Grow on crazy legendaries you couldn’t possibly play without Orbo. Consistently buff everything with Shiro and Mirkblood while holding out for a Hammer. Confluence especially fun with the two aforementioned. I hope you get what you wished for this year guys, especially in games with this deck. Merry Christmas.
I’m sorry I’m really curious about this deck , but why do you need night howlers, from the relic, and how does winterblade help.
So he was requesting a way to make the three work together. I provided my attempt to bring the three together. Winterblade would be a nice combo by automatically stunning minions and activating Scythe essentially allowing you to infinitely summon Howlers over and over without needing to stop. Atleast till an enemy minion is too far or you’ve killed them all.
EDIT-original response(I did not see the reply link for some reason. In my defense its 6AM and I’m an idiot.)
My apologies but are you referring to this deck? Or atleast this is the final form.
So to answer the Winterblade question first, it combos with Scythe and Gauntlet.
Specifically:
Winterblade+Scythe=Automatically reactivates your general.
Winterblade+Gauntlet=Automatically destroys the minion without counter attack.
All three allow you to wipe an entire board of enemy minions if they are close enough with just your general.
In reference to the Reliquarian, you don’t /need/ it but the bonus attack, especially if you use it on Displacer(which is a +10 attack to your general) makes up for not having any of the above three by greatly increasing your attack and summoning Howlers as a stall tactic or wincon depending on the amount.
What are your opinions on oblivion Sickle? I value Exhuming sand at about 2 mana per tile, so one proc gets you value from the thing. Gets even more threatening with Kha or Wildfire Ankh. At one mana, I’m surprised more people aren’t running it.
If you’re running an artifact Vetruvian deck, it can snowball. Personally, I don’t feel threatened by one or two Exhuming Sands though. It’s something that doesn’t start paying off till late game in my opinion. A Sajj deck with Ankh and Zephyr can pull off some major Oblivion combos, but with all the AoE’s floating around, its hard to pay off in the beginning. The value is definitely there, just even without AoE, one or two spaces are easy to park bodies on. So if I were to try to run Oblivion personally, I’d run some healing and stall. Maybe some Tracers to force chases.
Well, so my circle of fabrication attempt failed…
Circle of fabuloso, as I like to call it, is more rewarding when you have a dedicated wizard/structure hybrid deck instead of a pure obelysk deck. I put Celebrant+Dreamshaper with Abjudicator and Manaforger running this deck, and for other wincons I do Fault and Monolithic Vision Yes, this card is way stronger than you think when discounted. Might be of your interest!
Still not a bad idea though since it’s as far as a late game spell as you can get. Especially if you have like a Rae to follow up with. Share the deck if you’d like. Always fun to fiddle around.
Merry Christmas my dudes. Posting a new deck in a moment here to take on the new decade with a blast.
Hey there guys, bringing in a deck that brings the hurt. Never retreat and stand stalwart against the new decade as we approach New Years. Who needs a resolution?
This deck is meant to embody a feeling of invincibility and probably one of the few decks I’ve made deserving the term “competitive.” Designed in such a way that you can run face first into mostly anything without needing to step back. Several playable threats at just about any mana from start to finish, all deserving of removal. All the while making your general a target deserving of focus and punishment. Consistently splitting your opponent on where to turn their attention. All leading towards a game ending combo as you’ll often drag out games past 9 mana due to this split focus. You’re equipped to handle mostly anything. You’ll find some difficulty with swarm at first, but superior positioning with a well placed Holy Immolation is always devastating. Ironcliffe is also a decent answer to those far away enemies. Thanks as always everyone. I hope you enjoyed a fantastic holiday season and have a bright new year to look forward too.
What’s up my dudes. Got a new edition. From fire comes ash, and from ash comes new life. Look at that poem. This deck brings the heat and heal and chances to rise from a loss of life.
As most golem decks are, this one more or less presents the same standard. Get strong early game bodies and consistently counter in trades done with prime positioning in mind. This deck has minor draw issues, I’ll leave that up to your preference. But I find Entropic to be fantastic in this deck as it acts like a Replicant, except your burn two cards instead of one. Allowing you to narrow your combo window wait time. Ruby Rifter also finds itself a relatively decent answer to late game draw issues as your general should be hovering pretty high on the health threshold due to all the heals. Got loads of fun combos to benefit from with Fractal, Mitotic and Progenitor. Not just Okkadok, but Ragebinder is a fantastic health nuke. Zurael is there for when you stand to benefit from a massive trade of bodies. Light a fire and sow some seeds. Thanks as always.
Excuse me while I go cry myself to sleep after the recently posted notice
I’ll join you soon.

Also there is good music here. It feels … fitting.
It’s ok, I have a feeling a lot are gonna do the same.
And thanks man. I aim for quality. Feel free to share.
Had I hope a fun idea. Here - Anarchy and Chill
So I had a fun and terrible idea. In honor of Duelyst and everyone who played it, what if we did a Forum Gauntlet deck. I’ll start with the General. Then the next person replies with a card. Then the next person replies to that post with a card. So on and so forth till we hit 40 cards total. Ya’ll in? I’ll stream with the deck on Doomsday and post it in my [Duelyst and Chill]. Oh and for the hell of it… please don’t post any Trials! Thanks.
Ready.
Set.
…
I have been spiraling down the depth’s of online Yu-gi-oh. A rabbit hole I never thought I’d go down again. How could you do this to us, Duelyst?!?
