But if it’s strong, is it really a meme? :thonk:

Afaik, a meme deck SHOULD be strong, but also too inconsistent for any competetive play.

Not strong, just swole. Joking aside, I just enjoy using ridiculous and unorthodox strats(and golems). I remember asking what a meme deck is before, but i dont remember the answers at all lol

The word meme is so misused and overused in Duelyst it doesn’t mean anything at all
Actually, it should be the most played and spread deck/cards that should be called meme (VetDesert, FaieBurn, Ragnora, Thunderhorn, EMP etc)

Well, I’d argue that the original meaning of meme is both:

  1. Being widespread.
  2. Being Lulz.

Duelyst “meme” decks use only the second part of this rough definition. Meta is not fun, while being widespread. “Meme” decks are.

“lulz” and “fun” (preferably for both players) are as good descriptions as any  I find it interesting how many people find using the word meme either misleading or annoying, when the whole point is the diversity and subjectiveness of the concept.

Just yesterday I built my own version. I like the use of Sun Seer and Purgatos, though I wonder how often you pull the combo with Furor Chakram off.

Anyway, here’s my list:

I added Mentor, because I wanted more creep to teleport to and with all the tiles on board, I decided to add one copy of Obliterate to end games where you can’t get the combo to work.

About 50% of games  Look at my wr

Please tell us, how successful you’re with this build!

Let me get a couple more games in. I will tell you afterwards.

You didn’t miss much, IMO. He is generally useless.

He starts healing only when the enemy general is below 3 health. :upside_down_face:

So after 10 games the deck is now 6-4. Being that niché i think that is acceptable.

Not related to the deck but I was very much amused that I was quoted hihihihi. yey Special mention  xD

Well, my final version is here and at the end of the original post.

I have 8 p1t1 plays and 12 p2t1. Numbers are OK. One sunseer is left here for the sake of memeness and also since I like to have at least 12 p2t1 plays, and 3rd Ooze is unneeded.

Sarlacs are too valuable to not use them, and they are that sticky 3-drop my deck needed for better curve and board presence.

Betrayal is teched in for those Alabaster decks, I had no chance against if they manage to finally bring Titan to the board.

Some draw in the form of Scry is allowed by Sarlacs and helps in longer games (and for finding that Betrayal when needed!)

Sadly, I had to give up on Desolator. I have kinda enough heal and draw now, and I just dunno where to fit him.

Nether summoning can be very valuable with Revs and after frenzied board clears. Can also multiply Sarlac, but that outcome is even good here.

Wr seemingly increased, maybe i post it next week after more games are played.

Good to hear the Nethers worked  that 1-off Sun Seer tho.

Watched some of your replays where you were playing RotU, which also seemed interesting. The Veliumscry is nice with Sarlac, I bet. If I haven’t disentchanted all my Revenants I would use them here too.

Frenzied Rev is usually OTK. Very useful even if a bit slow

Sorry for reviving this thread out of nowhere, but I just thought: Dancing Blades. It might not proc chakram, but it’s a mini-removal with a solid body. Also it’s not worse than lavaslasher anymore(it might even actually be better)
