I have full collection
Also moving forward just accelerated my death.
Boss Battle - Xel!
Move forward with the sarlacs and move back with your general then just play sworn avengers.
All his minions should basically be frozen at that point.
Yeah, I figured this out when playing. One of my Sarlacs accidently teleported behind the enemy General and I think the AI had a brain fart.
Anyway, I promised a list. So, here is a deck that I made that I managed to win with:
Win with Shadowdancers, Sworn Avengers, Deathfire Cresendo, or huge Abyssal Juggernauts. Choose what you want to do.
Of course, you could use the deck as a template for your own deck. This one could really use some improvement.
This list does work on one rather simple principle; that throughout the game the boss doesnât move. So just hope the sarlacs stay alive, and keep pounding with a beefed up vaath while you keep on dropping stall and healing cards. At some point you will win. Won on second try.
list 1
just get sarlac to stick for some time, equip everything that you can, and get pounding. xel always smacks face unless heâs below 10 health, so thatâs fine. decimus is just for that final push for lethal, since by then xel will have dominated the board with whatever end game minions he drops. most of them hug sarlac. once all the spaces around the two sarlacs are occupied, you know youâre timer has run out. Always watch out for the odd frostburn or two. That sucks. Makantor jesus is useless because of deathwatch, so are most of your other minion. Stall and smack hard. And never forget to stun the battle pets. Ever.
The other idea is to drop a kraigon, fractal it, and then kill everything since forcefield protects you from deathwatch and other pings. I donât have kraigon, but I guess you could make a deck that includes Qâorrhhllmama or whatever the hell that was, and then drop that, grab your kraigon and fractal, and proceed to do whatever the hell you want. I do want to try this.
Thankfully, Obliterate resolves before the boss effect Yes, thatâs exactly 30 creep I have on board.
I see Alcuin here. Is it an infinite pluck deck?
Healyonar is a thing vs this boss though. Just stick Sunriser nearby the boss and start clearing the board. Lightchaser or Sunforge Lancer face. Easy.
Indeed it is
I beat this guy with a bunch of Lyonar spells, no minions except for the really big ones (Ironcliffe guardians, EMPâs, stuff like that), and RNGâing a turn-one sun bloom to get rid of the Sarlacs as fast as possible. He was extremely clever at one point and used daemonic lure to move an EMP that was very far away from him right next to him, a smart play what with him having one attack and no movement.
