Boss Battle - Wu’jin The Trickster

Wu’jin has traveled far to the west in his jouney to unearth lost artifacts and prove he is the best fighter.

A steely light flashed from his eyes with a beam that reached the Palace of the Polar Star. But now he is taking a drink, and the light is growing dim.

This unruly trickster cannot be allowed to cause further chaos!

“That’s just a monkey, what’s the trouble?”

Don’t underestimate Wu’jin, for he has ransacked the Heavens and harnessed all powerful magic.

Catching him is going to prove difficult.

What’s he doing? Grilling sausages? He’s mocking us!

No one could stop him so far, you are our only hope to contain this wildness.

“What’s in it for me?”

If you beat this boss you’ll earn a free Core Spirit Orb . In addition to this, you’ll also earn a free Boss Crate, containing Spririt, a cosmetic item, and another free Orb! Each Orb contains a collection of items sure to enhance your Duelyst experience!

Okay this boss is a tough one. I’m gonna have to think of a new deck.

This was an impossible battle, until I could play Juggernaut (and Oropsisaur).
At last.

The boss runs Onyx Bear Seal, fortunately not a lot of them.
Fun thing, he kept casting Living Flame on the Juggernaut, that caused a lot of eggs.

Wu'jin the trickster

I have tried a Maehv trail deck, a magmar aggro deck, and a work in progress songhai backstab deck, and nothing has worked. any advice?

Juggernaut needs to be banned in Boss Battles. I win every single one with him.

I hadn’t played with Juggernaut before, and against an AI without much removal or common sense I was very impressed by its performance. Another Legendary to craft added to the list.

How did other people deal with Wu’Jin? His combination of aggression, damage avoidance and minion spam is already strong, his deck is well rounded, and the BBS is really cherry on top.
He also runs Onyx Jaguars and Shiro Puppydragons, and that gives him an unexpected value generation for the late game.

I just hid in a corner with bloodtide priestess & fully surrounded by wraithlings. I also got a azure horn shaman buff on priestess.

Wu’Jin never managed to get past the barrier of minions.

Played a grow deck that barely won because Wu’jin got an arclyte regalia from grincher and just started running around and smacking my general.

That’s a bad situation. The Grincher plays are really fun in this boss.

How did other people deal with Wu’Jin?

Healoynar with Sun Sister Sterope. Heal through the damage, gain attack with Sunforge lancer, AoE removal with Sunriser and Holy Immo, and keep hand relatively full with True Strikes and Trinity Oath. Eventually, your general gains enough attack to kill the decoys in 1 attack. All the healing keeps you above PF and Cobra Strike bursts. The True Strikes help remove any annoying minion that is out of range of Holy Immo and Sunriser.

Legion took me more attempts. I expected this to be waaaay harder, but Earth Sister and Wild Tahr in combination with Sworn Avenger absolutely tore through this boss.
